Bryce's Pov
I followed Mark into his home, well my home too. I've lived Mark my whole life. My father left when I was born and my mother became abusive. So Mark's family pretty much let me live with them, plus Cliffton was my father figure, until he died two years ago.
Mark and I went to his room and sat on his bed. I was still drinking my shake when all of sudden, Mark put his cold cup against my neck. I flinched away and he laughed thinking it was hysterical. I playfully hit him in the shoulder "Oh come! That was funny!" He said.
I pushed him down on the bed and layed down on his arm. He smiled "I love you" he said. I mouthed the words "I love you too" and kissed Mark.
Mark's brother, Tom walked in "Hey, Mark, do you wanna go for a walk in the woods?" Mark sat up "Yeah sure" he looked over at me and said "You can have the rest of my shake" he set it on the table next to his bed.
As he started walking away I smacked his butt. He looked back at me and winked. I giggled, Mark is such a goofball.
I relaxed and closed my eyes, the cool air in the room felt good. I've always wondered who my father was. I don't even know what he looks like. My mother told me he left because of me, I don't believe it. I don't know anything about my father, I don't know his age, eye color, his height, I don't even know if he's dead or alive.
I thought about this for about 15 minutes. I decided to text Mark.
Bryce: Mark, I want to know who my father is will you help me?"
He didn't respond. After 5 minutes the bedroom door opened and Mark came in "Hey, I got your text. Listen, I know you want to know who your father is, but we don't know anything about him. But I will help you, okay? Don't worry about it. C'mon dinners done, Mom made Chicken and Dumplings, and you know how much I like her cooking"
I giggled and left with Mark to go eat.
