October's pov
"That had to have been the best day of my life." I hummed at the memory.
"You were the happiest I've ever seen you." Kathryn chuckled. "Toby and I didn't know what we'd do if Cybil hadn't shown up."
"Should I be worried?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"No. Toby was just thinking about putting you back on meds. Thought it would make it easier for you."
"Oh." I lowered my head. She sighed.
"Tobi, you know your brother only wants what's best for you. He loves you, and he's the only one who knows the whole truth. He's the only one who can understand you better than Cybil... better than me. You have to understand everything he does is for you."
"I know Kat, but I just don't get why all of this has to happen to me. What did I do to deserve this kind of life? To be the way I am? Honestly, I think that Cybil's lucky."
"Why is that?" Kathryn looked at me confused.
"Because now she's got a choice. She can leave, and doesn't have any memory of what she's leaving behind. I can't just leave. I know what we had, and I know that what we had was real and amazing."
"She does have a choice, but October, it's very obvious that she's already made her decision. She's trying to make you happy. She's trying to make this easier for you to handle, because even though she doesn't know who you are... She loves you."
"What makes you say that?"
"Tobi it's completely obvious, and you're not seeing it. You're not seeing the way she looks at you."
"Maybe because I avoid looking in her eyes."
"Why?"
"Because it's hard Kathryn!" My voice rose just under a yell. "You're right. You don't understand at all. It's hard for me because I love her, but when I look into her eyes... it's like I'm looking into an abyss of confusion and loneliness. She doesn't know who I am... who we are. She doesn't know everything."
"She never knew everything, Tobi!" She rose her voice too. "Ten years, and you never told her a damn thing about why you are the way you are! You kept her in the dark! Of course she doesn't know who you are."
"She never asked!" I defended.
"She's supposed to?!" Kathryn looked slightly confused and dumbfounded.
"Am I interrupting something?" Cybil asked walking in. Her face utterly shocked and confused. Then she looked to me. "Did you dye your hair?"
"Yeah. Well, we touched it up. Like?" I asked playing with my hair. She took a second to think about it before nodding.
"Cybil!" Kathryn smiled and tried to pass of the subject. "We were just waiting for you to get home. Go get into your jammies! It's girls night. Well... Knight girls night."
"Knight girls night?" I raised an eyebrow. "There something you ought to be telling me, Kathryn?"
"Um... o-kay." Cybil slowly walked backwards down the hallway. I decided to play around. I leaped for Kathryn and pinned her to the couch.
"CYBIL RUN! SHE'S ALREADY TRAPPED ME! YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE!" I laughed in my yell while holding Kathryn on the couch. Cybil just took a couple steps backwards before I stopped her. Kathryn fought against my restraints. "Wait!"
"What?" She asked.
"No.no.no.no.no." Kathryn knew what I was thinking when she saw my evil grin. Her squirming got worse.
