Braylon's POV

  "Have you ever surfed?"

That question led Hunter to drag me out of the house and to the beach with his friends because he was 100% certain he could teach me how to surf.

We got to the beach and his friends Alex, Jayden, & Michael were already there with two other girls. The girls looked like supermodel, one had long blonde hair, gorgeous glowing skin,and piercing blue eyes that anyone would kill for. The girl next to her had brown long hair, and a supermodel body , and even though her eyes were brown they sparkled. They made me feel like I was a little chunky 10 year old boy.

"Hey Bray!" Alex said greeting me when we met up with them.

"Hey guys !" I smiled and waved.

"Who's this?" The brunette asked kindly smiling at me.

"Oh this is Braylon my uhm friend" Hunter said letting go of the hold he had on my waist previously. That stung a little.

"Nice to meet you Braylon! I'm Nancy, Jayden's sister." She smiled which caused me to smile.

"Well I'm Carmen." The blonde one said jumping in. " Hunters friend." she said rudely looking me up and down.

"Oh uh nice to meet you." I said trying to be polite.

"So you're another one of his girls?"Carmen said.

"Stop acting like a bitch, and stop making it seem like Hunters a hoe." Jayden snarled at her causing Carmen to roll her eyes.

"She's just jealous." Hunter said in my ear pulling me close to his body.

"So uhm how about we surf ! Hunter can teach Braylon right now!" Alex jumped in trying to change the atmosphere.

Carmen jumped up grabbed her board and headed to the water , the others followed right after except Nancy who was laying down on a towel and Hunter who was standing right by my side.

"You're not gonna surf?" I asked.

" Not really feeling like getting thrown off the board into the water today." She laughed and so did I.

"Cmon Bray." Hunter said taking my hand and dragging me to the water.

"Hey Hunter, watch me on this wave !" Carmen yelled out surfing the wave perfectly. When she finally fell in she came up with a smile. Hunter sent her a small smile back before turning his attention on me.

" So this is what you have to do." Hunter demonstrated the basics."See it's super easy." Hunter said turning to me with a huge grin. Knowing me if I attempted to stand up on the board I'd fall right in the water.

"Your turn!" He said steadying the board. I nodded and attempted to do what he instructed but I fell off. We tried again but same results.

"It's not that hard." I heard a voice say, and surprise surprise it was Carmen.

"Carmen first time you went surfing you smacked your face on the board so quit it." Michael yelled defending me which I thanked him silently.

"Hey, you got this." Hunter whispered in my ear. oh yeah CHILLS. I swallowed and concentrated on each move I made and somehow I stood up on the board trying to catch my balance.

"WOHOOOO!!" cheered Hunter. Just like I suspected, I fell right into the water . I came up from the water only to see another wave push me under. I felt a arm lift me up from the water and up to air.  "Woah, are you okay?" Hunter said with his eyes laced with concern.

" Idiot." I heard Carmen mutter.

" Never been better." I said sarcastically before pulling my arm from him and heading to shore. I wasn't mad at him I was annoyed that I couldn't prove Carmen wrong then maybe she'd stop being like that. He didn't even stop me from walking away instead he went towards Carmen. I walked back to the spot and sat down next to Nancy who was eating chips.

"How'd you meet Hunter?" Nancy asked offering me chips which I gladly accepted.

" I accidentally walked in on him washing his hands in the men's restroom, then he saw me at the mall and asked me for my number, then we basically hung out and became friends." I explained.

"Men's restroom?" she asked quirking an eyebrow.

"I didn't know ! I seriously thought it was the women's!" I defended. She laughed.

"Where you from?"

"Seattle, just here to stay with my sister until the end of break."

"Oh that's cool, I've always wanted to go."

" Not that exciting, California's way better." I smiled

"I haven't seen Hunter hang out with another girl since him and Carmen broke up."

"They dated?"

"Yeah, they broke up about 2 months ago." She said then fastly added "Hunters completely over her trust me."

"Doesn't look like it." I mumbled watching Hunter and Carmen in the ocean separate from everybody having a conversation.

"She's a bitch, don't let her get to you." She smiled handing me more chips, "Only reason why she's here is because Michaels mom is friends with her mom, and she made him bring her, we all don't like her."

I didn't really talk to Hunter after I walked off. The rest of the time I distance myself from him he didn't even attempt to talk to me. After Hunter and Carmens little conversation Carmen left right after but not before muttering you ruined everything before walking off. Yeah she's weird.

Hunter was playing soccer with his friends and a couple of other guys. He was really attractive nice
hair that always fell in place,
golden skin, amazing body to top it off. He might of sensed me looking at him, because he turned his attention on me and gave me a big smile. I don't know why I was even jealous about
Carmen and Hunter, he wasn't my
boyfriend.

"Let's start the fire." Jayden said. With the help of the other boys they had the bonfire going 20 minutes top. I sat down in front of the fire trying to warm up since it was sundown . I was only wearing shorts & a T-shirt.

"Hey you cold?" I heard Hunter ask sitting down next to me.

"No." I responded still upset about Carmen.

"Here you're shivering." he said taking off his sweatshirt exposing his white T-shirt and handing me the sweatshirt. I was mad at him but I was pretty cold so I took his offer. "Why haven't you talked to me?" He asked grabbing my hand and looking into my eyes.

"You were too busy talking to Carmen," I pulled my hand back to my side "You know your ex."

"Nancy told you?" I nodded keeping my gaze on the fire. "I'm completely over her, I don't like her at all."

"Looked like you were pretty interested in her when you guys were talking." I said still avoiding his gaze.

" Because I told her to leave, If she was gonna be bitchy to you she shouldn't be here."

"Oh." I said feeling the heat rush up to my cheeks.

"Plus I'm interested in someone else." he said taking my hands in his which made my heart stop.

"Who?"

He pulled me towards him, his arms around my waist.

"You."
