Part 15:
I Promise
Draco's POV :
I was doing the dishes since Hermione and the kids went to the park. They seemed happier ever since Hermione became a success. There was a knock on the door and I thought they were back.
Leaving the kitchen I opened the main door and saw Audrey.
"Audrey. Good to see you again. Please come in."
"Thank you Mr. Malfoy." Said Audrey
"Please call me Draco. Can I offer you anything?"
"No I won't be staying long. I was just wondering where Hermione could be. I need to give her something." Said Audrey
"I'm sorry she's not here at the moment. She's out with my children."
"Oh is that so. In the case... Please give this to her. It's her first pay check. Tell her all the money stated there is in her vault in Gringgots." Said Audrey
"Wait... Already? Isn't it a bit to early for a pay check?"
"No. Of course not unless she doesn't deserve it. Her music video has reached 7.5 million views and 8 million downloads in four days. I believe she deserves all the money." Said Audrey
"Does she know that?"
"I don't think so. Because if she does she would have gotten that check yesterday like I told her too." Said Audrey
"That was you she was talking to?"
"Yup. She seemed very excited about it but never got the chance to stop by my office." Said Audrey
"Well thank you Draco for the wonderful welcome but I must go now." Said Audrey
I smiled at her and showed her the way out. She left with a pop. I sat down at the couch for a moment and thought about what me and Hermione talked about the other night.
A few minutes later I decided to finish the dishes and was done 5 minutes later. Eventually Hermione and my kids came back exausted.
"What took you all so long?"
"We were having fun dad. Besides its not like we were going to space and leaving you for good." Said Scorpius
"Yup. The two of us had fun while Mione just watched us carefully." Said Phyton
"Yeah dad. Might wanna talk to her." Said Scorpius
"Don't worry I will."
The kids went up stairs while I went to the garden and looked for Hermione. I saw her sitting near the tree where we eat sometimes.
"Hermione? You alright?"
"Do I look like I'm fine?" Asked Hermione
"Nope. So tell me the problem."
"You already know my problem Draco we talked about it. I can't do it anymore." Said Hermione
"You've gotten through this far. Come on Hermione this isn't like you. Your not the one to give up just yet."
"Well maybe that part of me is gone now that I have two jobs. Draco I'm sorry but you need to look for a new nanny." Said Hermione
"Hermione don't break the heart of my children. Please they love you. They really do. Don't you love them?"
"Draco I love them both with all my heart. But I can't do this. I will break bit by bit if I continue with this." Said Hermione
"What about them Hermione? Scorpius just turned six a couple of months ago and Phyton's going to turn 4 in November 22. She'll want you to be there."
