A Rose In The Dark

Chapter 3

Roses POV

After about a couple of hours I woke up from my heavy sleep and noticed my nurse was sleeping in my room. I got up slowly and started to push her slightly but she didn't wake so I decided to go get some food. I walked to the door and then I was suddenly pulled back. I fell to the ground and looked up to see the nurse lady pulled me back.

"What the hell" I shouted.

"Sorry" the nurse said sounding a bit sad.

I got up and went for the door again but before I could reach the knob the nurse screamed, "no don't go out there"

I turned around and gave her a confused look. "Why? I'm hungry so I want food"

"Oh well we have food in here" she said pointing to this small closet in the corner. I raised my eyebrows and then walked towards the closet. There were a few canned peaches and some beans as well as some pears. I looked but to where the nurse was standing and she was a bit closer then she was before. "All canned stuff?" I asked.

"Yeah"

"Okay" I said while grabbing a can of peaches.

"Do we have any forks or spoons?" I asked sweetly.

"Yup" she said while popping the p. The nurse turned around and I thought it was the perfect moment to run out the door and get some real food. I quickly escaped from the closet and reached for the door knob and turned it.

"No!!" The nurse lady yelled.

I ignored her an opened the door and there it was. A dead looking corpse. It's eyes were blood shot and half it's jaw was missing. It just moaned and started running towards me. I just stood there. The nurse quickly pushed me out of the way and stabbed the thing in the head making it fall to its knees and die.

"The names Sarah" the nurse said while blood was dripping all over her long knife
