Chapter 4

Roses POV

I was in shock. "Sarah . What the hell was that?"

" I'm not actually sure but I call them corpses"

"What are they?" I asked confused.

"Well they are Humans that at one point were turned to zombies by being bit by another zombie and eventually dying. Extreme stupidity surrounds these creatures as they mindlessly bash on the barracades of surviving humans. They can be said to not be able to "climb stairs" as my friend says but others may say otherwise. Shotguns are most affective at close range with these beings, the only way to stop the damn thing from moving would be to shoot its brain or completly sever the head. Thats why I used the knife."

I just sat there. I was speechless.

" but don't make sound around them they are like a shark when they smell blood. They will just come running towards you if your close but if your far away they will just follow the direction they think the sound came from. So try to be really quiet when your out there."

"How do you know all this?" I asked.

"Well I kinda starte...."

Before she could finish there was another one of those things with its mouth on her neck. She was screaming and I just froze. I quickly snapped back into reality and went to grab the knife. I held it in my hands and took a breath then stabbed it into the corpses head. It let go of Sarah's neck and fell to the ground dead. I quickly ran to see if Sarah was dead. She was alive but barely breathing. I looked at her neck. I felt a tear hit my cheek.

"Sarah stay with me" I cried.

"I'm sorry you...have to see this..."

She said while coughing blood.

"But my friend.....she has a...cabin....you be safe" Sarah managed to cough out.

"I'm going to die so just kill......so I don't....turn..." And next think I knew it she was dead. I started to cry uncontrollable now. She saved me from all this. Wait kill her before she turned. Her eyes opened wide as she started to move again and groan. I shot up from her side while holding the knife in my hands. I look up and said " I'm sorry Sarah please forgive me" then stabbed her in the head.
