"Hey." Adrien peeked into Marinette's room the next day, "you feeling any better?"
"Yeah. Much better. Thanks." Marinette said as she sat up in her hospital bed. Then she saw a girl follow Adrien into the room, "Uh, who's this?"
"Don't worry. She's not a girlfriend or anything." Adrien laughed, and Marinette let out a sigh of relief, "this is actually my twin sister, Melodie. Melodie, this is Marinette, a good friend of mine."
"It's nice to meet you, Marinette!" Melodie smiled.
"You too!" Marinette smiled, then whispered to Adrien, "I didn't know you had a twin sister..."
"Yeah, well, she ran away from home, and she's back now." Adrien said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, then turned to Melodie, "speaking of, Mom called. She said she wanted to talk to you."
"Oh, okay. I'll see you around then. Nice meeting you Marinette! Hope you get better!" Melodie called as she left.
"Thanks." Marinette smiled, then she leaned her head on her pillow and looked out the window.
"What's on your mind?" Adrien asked as he sat down.
"Things are really... going to be different once I get out of here..." Marinette sighed, "now that everyone knows my identity, and yours too..."
"Everything will be okay. I promise. We'll get through this together." Adrien smiled comfortingly. Marinette turned to look at him and smiled.
"They moved up the time table." Marinette said, "They said I'm recovering faster than they thought I would. I can get out tomorrow."
"That's great!" Adrien said, "then we can go back out in fighting crime in Paris, and we can go back to school."
"I'm worried about how the rest of the class are going to treat us though... I just want to be normal now... Not that it's better than the way Chloe's been treating me... Oh no, Chloe is going to be all up in my hair..." Marinette groaned as she rubbed her forehead.
"It's okay. I'm sure you'll be fine." Adrien told her as he thought about the boys in his fencing class the day before.
"I really appreciate you being here, Adrien... My parents visited an hour ago, and they said that they really like you."
"Not as Cat Noir?" Adrien asked.
"They like you as Adrien Agreste, and for standing up for me like that when I was ready to be dropped off the Eiffel Tower." Marinette smiled. After a few seconds, Adrien stood up.
"Okay, welp, I gotta go catch up with Mel. Mom wants me there too." Adrien said as he patted Marinette's shoulder.
"I'll see you tomorrow, then. When I can actually get out of this stuffy room." Marinette laughed as Adrien waved bye to her, and he left.
"Wow, Marinette..." Tikki flew up to her and sat on her lap, "'my parents really like you.' But are you sure that they're the only ones who like him?"
"Oh, Tikki... I don't know, though... I'm still crushing on Adrien, of course, yeah. But I don't know... Does he still like me as Marinette? I saw the way he looked at Ladybug, and I've always wished he could look at Marinette that way too..."
"Oh Marinette, I'm sure he loves you for the girl you really are too! Do you still love Adrien for the cheesy cat he is?" Tikki giggled.
"Of course." Marinette nodded, "but Adrien is super talented and handsome and smart, and I'm just a clumsy klutz that just makes a fool out of myself whenever I'm in front of him..."
