Chapter-3
Annalie's P.O.V._
As I went out of the office I took a look at my schedule.My first block was 12th lit.Yeay,I bet there's nothing like having two hours of a teacher lecture about Beowulf.When I went in Mrs. Smith pointed me to the only seat in the room which was open.The one in the back,closest to the window.I handed her my note and tried to ignore the stares I got.Which was difficult because all the chairs were pointed to the center of the room.So I naturally had to walk in front of everybody.
As I sat down I made sure not to look at anyone.Until the girl next to me lend over.
"You'll want to take notes,there's bound to be a quiz tomorrow.",she said.
"Umm thanks.",I said.No one said another word to me until Mrs.Smith let us have a bathroom break.Then the girl who spoke to me before,the girl in front of her,and the girl in front of me all turned to face me.
"So where you from?",asked the first girl.
"Oh here and there.",I replied.
"Hey,you are Annalie Barrington,right?",asked the third girl.
"Err yes.",I nodded,"How did you know..?"
"We don't get a lot of new students here,and when we do..,"
"..The news spreads fast.Really,fast.",said the second then the third girl.
"Aha."I laughed,"So you know my name.What's yours?"
"Oh well,my name is Kayley,and this is Temperance.",said the first girl pointing to her self then to the coffee skinned girl in front of her.Kayley was the smallish type.Her hair was blood red with platinum blond bangs that was cut in layers.I could tell that she was the kind of girl who would look good in anything.
"Excuse me,"said Temperance,"is it like illegal for me to introduce myself now,is that it?"
"Yes.Yes it is."replied Kayley.It took me a moment to realize that the were just joking around.I felt the smile on my face relax a little,it felt more natural.They kept up with their playful banter for another minute.The girl in front of me roled her eyes at them and turned to me.
"Are they always like this?"I asked,giggling.
"No,but we are all like this.",she said laughing.She stuck out her hand for me to shake."I'm Isabelle by the way."
I couldn't help but laugh.This was turning out to be a pretty amazing first day,it almost felt unreal.
