7 Days From now.

Blood rushing, flower pedals falling, fog thickening, sunlight dying... Her blonde hair was saturated with dark red blood. Her eyes sparkled for the last time. The rain washed her final tears and last bit of life she could hold and....... she was gone.

BLUE HARVEST

Day One.

The sun's rays beamed through my white curtains onto my face and bed. Birds chirped in new wet beginnings from the earlier rainstorm.

I turned my head to the side and rubbed my eyes from sleep. "Holy shit!" I yelled when I saw that I slept In an hour late for the Blueberry festival in Dover a few hours away from my hometown Philadelphia.

Apparently tripping is the first thing on my list of things to do before I run out the door, and land on the hard wood floor. By the way my name is Taylor, Taylor Lilac....

Anyway Back to the story. I Scrambled to my dresser and threw out all of my clothes and attempted to put something on my mom wouldn't criticize and lecture me about.

Just then my phone vibrated on my bedside. I hopped to my bed with my pants half on and my socks in a bundle. Gently I pressed the home button. "Wake up you stupid Bitch!" Beautiful morning texts from my sister Dawn and she used actual words this time.

As I sprinted to the door I almost fell down the stairs again just to be greeted by the one and only cocky little girl that was my sister. "Did you read my text?" She spoke in the happiest way she could. "Yes and what a charming little crap you are."

I said and smiled. "Taylor! Dawn! Hurry up!" My mother yelled. I bolted to the car, swung the door open and slammed it shut, just to find out my sister was locked out in the miserable rain. "Great." I muttered.

2 hours later, "So how come no one woke me up or anything? So we could get here sooner..." I questioned "Cause we could've gotten here sooner with a whole lot less people." I said as we opened the gates at the entrance.

The rain started pouring even harder now that seeped my shirt from colourful pink butterfly meadows to grey rags. "Ok, everyone grab as much berries as you can... get back here in about 2 minutes." My mom said.

Well, I guess it's time for survival of the fruitest.... oh come on that was great.... just never mind.

Swarms of people ran everywhere trying to consume and grab as much berries as possible. I sprinted to a stand with barely any berries left, reached my hand out and then some fat guy walked right in front of me and nocked me over in the brown mud on the cold ground. Not even an apology or at least any sympathy.... wow.

As I finally got up I felt the rain start to get softer my face and hair, I stumbled to the meeting point with an empty mouth and a broken day when I arrived I couldn't believe my eyes, my entire family's faces stuffed with juicy blueberries while I'm left empty handed and hungry, didn't spare me a single berry.

What a disgrace of a family.
