Chapter 12:(Vote & Comment!)
“You know.” Steven said grabbing all our attention, “The cult of Kukulcan was the first Mesoamerican religion to transcend the old Classic Period linguistic and ethnic divisions. This cult facilitated communication and peaceful trade among peoples of many different social and ethnic backgrounds. Although the cult was originally centered on the ancient city of Chichén Itzá in the modern Mexican state of Yucatán, it spread as far as the Guatemalan highlands.”
“True, it was also built between the 9th and 12th century CE.” My dad scratched his chin and continued; “It was built to serve as a temple to the god Kukulcan. When the Toltec people moved to Chichen Itza, they merged their own zenith cosmology with the Mayan system, and the result was the Pyramid of Kukulcan. This has been designed so that every year, on Spring Equinox, the afternoon sun causes a shadow play so that it appears that a huge serpent is descending from the sky, down the pyramid. However, John Major Jenkins shows that the pyramid is much more than an equinox indicator. It is a precessional clock with its alarm set for the twenty-first century.”
“Did it expect the apocalypse that doomed us all?” I said as I moved my hand emphasizing the word doomed.
“I don’t think so. My guess nature loved surprises.” Steven said laughing.
“I don’t understand how that is related to the Attpads.” Liz said as she carried Drew. “And I don’t understand how my baby looks like he is a year and a half.”
“My guess, the pyramid has more secrets than we thought.” Bridget said. “Your child is growing up fast because of being half angel half human.”
“I told you that.” John added.
“It was hard to process.” Liz said a bit too rudely.
I loved when my best friend understood what to do. John just bit his lip preventing himself from some rude comeback.
“Now back to what’s important. How do we open this temple?” I asked.
I already knew that my dark powers could find the gateway and break it loose; but that might cost me my humanity. It was my last resort.
“I’m not gonna use my powers now.”

“He’s been gone for hours now! Where is he?” William said.
He was walking up and down for a while now. The war beside them was growing out of control. The big foots were dying, the Attpads were killing anything in their way. The Devil must have taught them that.
“We’re losing the war! Rachel alone is not enough.” Luke said as he came back. “We need more than one witch.”
His clothes were already torn up; and his skin was dirty from some explosion. Rachel followed him panting.
“That… is… too… much.” Rachel said as she had laid on her back trying to catch her breath.
“We need Alex; she can help.” Luke said. “She’s the best at ending anything-”
“-something is wrong.” Eva interrupted him. ”I sense something dark lurking around.”
“Well as you can see; the Devil and the demons with all their dark powers are fighting around.” Luke said in his Duh-tone pointing around.
“Not that you barbarian; something darker, stronger, worse than all the power around us;” She smirked. “Alex triggered her dark magic. I can sense it.”
