Last Chapter

After a few minutes I stopped and then started up again I was thinking how this all might be different if I wasn't famous, Grace wouldn't be in a coma and I would still have my best friend.

While thinking about that I drifted into a deep sleep.

Chapter 5

Narrator POV

It was midnight and Grace was still in her coma, and Niall regretted being famous.

An hour passed and Doctors and Nurses rushed into room 312. Grace's lung had collapsed because of the pressure from her broken ribs.

They rushed her into the surgery room, while a nurse called Niall.

Niall's POV

It was about one in the morning and my ringing phone had woken me up.
(Ni=Niall, Nu=Nurse)

Ni- hello?
Nu- Is this Mr. Horan?
Ni- Yes, what happened?
Nu- Grace's lung collapsed a few minutes ago because of all the pressure from her ribs.
Ni- What! Is she okay? Should I come?
Nu- Sir, she is fine, you can come but you have to wait in the waiting room and I will personally come get you when you may v-

I cut her off by hanging up the phone and ran to my car. I was driving so fast, the other cars we going by in a blur.

*arrives at hospital*

I walked to the waiting room and just sat there and cried.
Is she going to be okay?
Is she going to wake up?
Will she ever wake up?
Those three questions just kept repeating in my head and I thought I was going crazy.

I finally calmed myself down after few minutes of being curled up in a ball rocking back and forth. I was able to drift off to sleep.

I woke up to somebody tapping my shoulder.
"Sir, wake up you may see Grace. The doctor is waiting in there to tell you what happened."

I just nodded and stood up and walked slowly to her room.
"Ahh, Mr. Horan. We were able to get it back but we had to put three pins in each broken rib to keep the pressure off the lung so it doesn't happen again." He said slowly so I could understand.
"Is she okay know?" That one question was the only concern I have.

"For the past week she has improved a lot but this just put her all the way back to the start. She can't breathe on her own any more. I'm sorry to say, but if she doesn't improve in three weeks we have to cut her off." He sad with no emotion.

"What! Your going to give up just like that!? I leave for tour in a week I won't be hear t-t-to, you know. Is there anyway you can keep her till I get back if she doesn't improve?" I said with so much hope.

"When do you get back son?"
"Six months." I said with a hint of nervousness.
"Boy I'm sorry but that way to long I'll give her three months, how that?" He said
"Fine, but please call whenever  something happens." I said yet again with hope.

"Yes, I'll leave you two alone." And with that he walked out of the room closing the door behind him.

"Hi Grace. I'm leaving in 5 days, the guys and I are already packed. I'm leaving for six months and I know your probably not going to wake up by the time we leave but when you do I'm going to drop everything and come here to be beside you." I paused to think a little more.

I grabbed her hand and started again, "I know your trying to fight but fight harder please, I know three months is a long time but time flies. So please just know I'll always be hear for you. They guys won't let me come here anymore so I'll see you when I get back." I smiled then kissed her on the forehead and walked out of the room and to my care.

I sat in my car and cried, I thought about the worse things that can happened. Like how three months is not going to be enough time and I'm going to lose my best friend, or how she could die and I would be thousands of miles away from her.

I tried to think positive but the bad thoughts just kept popping up in my head. I decided to go back home and sleep, and that is what I did.
