Joey was swerving all over the road. He started to wonder if he hydroplane, it was pouring down rain so it wouldn't surprise him. Once he gotten all straighten up he keep on hearing "thud thud thud." Great. He pulls the car over on the side of the road. He takes a deep breath. He gets out of the car. Almost immediately gets soaking wet. Sure enough the right front tire went down. Joey sighed.
He gets back into the car. He gets his cell phone out of the glove box and sees it's dead. "Dammit!" He yells and throws the cell phone on the floor. All Joey could hope for now is either the rain would let off or someone stops. He turns on his emergency flashers. He put his head against the steering wheel and closed his eyes. His luck has not been the greatest luck the past few months. Either getting caught up in other people crashes on the track, poor finishes, or stuff like this.
A tap on the window startled him he opened the door. He wasn't looking at the person when he got out of the car. "Thank you so much for stopping," he looks up "Matt!" Joey was petty sure he has the same look as Matt did. Confusion and shock. They just stood there for a minute and Matt said "okay enough of this, what's wrong way we both can act like this never happen." Joey gave Matt an eye twitch. "I have a flat." Matt nodded his head "which tire is down?" Joey sighed "o you won't believe me if I told you. It will be better for me to show you." Matt looked at him confused but didn't question it.
The rain let up a little. But it was still steady. When Joey showed Matt the tire. Matt pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and pointer finger. "Even though I see it and this is definitely real, I'm not believing it." Joey did a deep chuckle "I didn't really think about it until you showed up." Matt just nodded his head and kneeled down in front of the tire and started feeling the tire "Haha I found the culprit that did this." Joey raised his eyebrow "what is it?" Joey questioned. Matt got up and told him, "I can't get it out but it's either a nail or a screw stuck in the tire. Do you have the spare? If you do you can make it to town and get it serviced." Joey took a deep breath and said "I don't have the spare because it was the same kinda deal with the left rear. They found A nail. They fixed it and I never put the spare back." Matt bit his lip "Well there is nothing I can do tonight except give you a ride." Joey frozen "whaaat did you say?" Matt sighed "I'm going give you ride to the track. Let's put all of our disagreements behind us for a couple of hours. You don't even have to say anything to me. But I'm not going leave you out here Joey." Joey started chattering his teeth,he was cold, and nodded his head and followed Matt to his truck. Before he got there Joey got his phone and locked up the car.
Once they both got into the truck, they both could tell it was going to be a long ride.
I know a little short, but let me know what you think when you review. Next couple of chapters will be the car ride and it should get interesting. Also would you guys do what Matt did, help a person who treated you badly in the past? Let me know what you would do. Enjoy the next chapter.
