Chapter One/// The Favor
Tarissa's P.O.V
I walk into the school building and go straight to my locker. My locker is so far from the entrance an it's annoying because I have to walk so much just to get my books.
I reach my locker and force it open. First thing I see when I open my locker is a picture of Riley, my beat friend, and I. I smile as I remember the day that the picture was taken.
Flashback
"Tari, you will not be able to do it." 13 year old Riley said. "I know you too well."
I smiled brightly while looking at her. I looked down at the pool from where I was standing; a big tree branch that was right above the pool.
"Watch me do it!" I shouted then closed my eyes and jumped, landing in the pool with a big splash.
"Aaahhhhh!!!! Tari, you did it." Riley said running to me with her camera.
"Told you." I said and laughed with her.
"This needs to remembered." She said and snapped a picture of us smiling.

I have always been the quiet one between Riley and I. Riley has always been the loud risk taker. That day I wanted to be like her; risk taking an daring. But I will never be like Riley; I'm too much of a coward and nerd.
