"So, tell me why you are being let out again." Brighty said for the fourth time. They were all in the car driving back towards Imogen's home. They always used to meet up there so it seemed like the logical place to go.
"As they have no proper evidence on the murder, they had to let me go. Albeit not without some warning and talking to some silly officer once every few days." Aaron sighed sharply, it was obvious that he was starting to get tired of repeating the same story over and over again.
"What do you mean by evidence?" It was Josh speaking this time, "Hey! Watch the road Imogen, you might send us to meet Joshua sooner than we want." This caused a few laughs in the car, but after the day's events this came with a strain. All on top of them still missing their friend.
"So, basically, what I gleaned in the interview chamber room was that a cab driver was found stabbed outside of my apartment block, and after checking his CCTV car footage, they realised his last customer was my handsome self, so going on that, they went and arrested me". The story was getting old, but the group didn't mind.
"So what does that-" Brighty was suddenly cut off by Imogen's exasperated voice. "Brighty, just shut up. You've heard the story, there's nothing more to it." This left the car in silence, just for the sound of the car sloshing through the puddles.
It was a good 10 minutes of silence later when Imogen pulled up outside her home. It was the third time they had appeared here in the last few days and the house showed no signs of cleanliness from it.
"Wow, you guys must have had lots of fun in here." Aaron was laughing as he took of his shoes and added them to the pile by the door. There were cushions and games covering the living room floor, and past that into the kitchen there was food everywhere.
"Yeah... We kind of got busy with you being in prison and all, not really much time to clean up after ourselves." Imogen turned to face him, "Do you have a problem with the mess? I know your house is so immaculately clean..."
"Yeah, very funny." Aaron grinned "Is it alright if I use your facilities? I've been in a cell most of the night so it would be good to get the smell out."
"Sure. Just make sure you don't make a mess of the carpet like last time, you seemed to think my bed spread was some type of weird bathmat." Brighty could be heard laughing down the hallway.
The group was finally all back together. Aaron just wondered how long it would last.
