Chapter 13

Previously:
"I'm sorry but are you Keri Summers?"
"Yes why?"
"I think we need to talk" .......

Keri's POV:
"Ummmmm... Why??" I asked cautiously. I have some information about the KORPS/MI9 double agent.
"Give me one second I'll be right back!" I ran off into the lunch hall I spotted the four of them and ran over. "Guys! You all need to come with me right now!" Dan looked at me confused but the other three just got up quickly. "Dan come on!" I pleaded and reluctantly he got up and they all followed. We got back to the mysterious guy. "Tell them what you told me." I said
"I know who the MI9/KORPS double agent is!"
"Who are you?" Tom asked
"Edward Lambsbottom. I work for GDHQ and the traitor to MI9 is my boss!"
"Who's your boss?" Asked Dan
"Martin Strong, but I think you'll know him better as Mike Stern!"
"That's not possible!" Aneisha said "we put Mike Stern in the MI9 cells!"
"Look I have to go but listen to this!" He said handing me a memory stick. "It proves Martin Strong is Mike Stern and it talks about you guys!" He then turned and ran away.
"Woah!" I said. "We've got to listen to it!"
"No way! There's somethig suspicious here!" Zoe said. We all looked at her confused so she explained herself "This guy just randomly shows up and knows exactly who we are. Also if Mike Stern is his boss whose to say he isn't working for KORPS too? What of that memory stick contains the proof of them being traitors to MI9 and they gave it to us to try and frame us?" She said pointing at the USB.
"Don't be ridiculous!" I said
"Look. I'm not sayig destroy it. I'm just saying that we should hand it to Hamish. If it is proof then MI9 has it and if it's trying to frame us then he'll know it's fake else we wouldn't have handed it in!" Zoe said. We all exchanged looks.
"Okay." I said "but I'm giving it in." I finished. I didn't trust Zoe. I was goin to make sure that message got to Hamish. "I'm going now." I said.
"Why don't we all go?" Tom said
"Sure lets go." I said as we all ran off.

Dan's POV:
We got Frank to sign us in and then got him to call Hamish to his office. "Frank what do- you know signing in ex agents is a sacable offence, especially when one of them could be a KORPS agent" he said
"Just listen to what we have to say!" I said starting to get annoyed
"Fine what do you want." He said clearly just trying to get us out as quickly as possible.
"Listen to this message" Keri said handing him the memory stick. He looked at us confused so Tom offered more information.
" a guy called Edward Lambsbottom gave it to us. He said it contains information about the real MI9/KORPS double agent. Martin Strong, who is also Mike Stern."
"That's not possible Mike Stern is in the MI9 cells. But I will listen to that message. Thank you. If there's anything else I can do for you just give me a call."
"Well we were hoping you could reinstate us." Zoe said hopeful
"I'm sorry guys I would love to but one of you is still a traitor and we don't know which one. Sorry." He said and then he walked out. We all sighed an looked really sad.
"I'm sorry guys but you've got to go." Frank said. "It was good to see you."
We all left.

Keri's POV:
"Hey guys I just got off the phone with Frank. Apparently the memory stick was blank. I guess Edward was just some crazy guy." Dan said
"I don't understand why he's bother doing that. I think there's something up. There is not a chance he would know who we are and make claims like that only to hand us an empty memory stick. It doesn't add up." Tom said confused.
"Tom, for all we know he could e working for KORPS and wanted to crush our hopes even more." Zoe said
"No Tom's right it doesn't add up." I said "let's call Edward." We all got up and went to the books cupboard. We locked the door behind us. I got my phone out and saw I had a text. From Edward.
"Guys I have a text from Edward. It's a picture. OF MIKE STERN IN MARTIN STRONGS OFFICE!!! They are the same person I can see the mask in the table." I said
"That means he escaped" Zoe said.
"But this is MI9's high security division. How did he just get out." Aneisha said confused
"Someone must have helped him. An MI9 agent." Dan said
"Wait I have a voice message too." I said playing it and putting it on speaker.
"Agents I don't have much time. They know I know somehow and they're coming to get me and lock me away. Hamish Campbell is also working for KORPS and is outside now tryin to get in. But also I know something else. It's about the deputy pm she's really the -"
"WHAT!" I shouted
"They must have got him." Dan said.
"Hamish is working for KORPS." Aneisha cried.
"Okay look. Edward must have some proof that we can show the pm so Neesh, Zoe and Tom you go to GDHQ and look for evidence. Keri with me." Dan said
"Where are we going?" I asked
"We're going to get Edward and check Mike Stern's cell. We're gonna break into MI9."
