Kind of a filler...but oh well!

"Ah, the Dixon family. Welcome." Deanna greets, and opens the door for us.
People scatter the house, wrapped up in conversations. Soft music plays in the background, laughter echoing around the house. I notice that most of the group is already here, talking amongst themselves.
"We have refreshments and appetizers in the dining room. Help yourself to whatever you like." she smiled, then excused herself.
We make our way over to the dining room, and Merle immediately grabs a bottle of beer. Makena has a soda and I have some apple juice. We go back into the living room, towards our group. They all greet us as we stand and watch the Alexandrian's converse with one another. They act like nothing is wrong in this world, it looks like a normal life.
"Ally!" I see Emma spot me, and wave me over. I go over to her and let her introduce me to her friends.
"Come and meet my group." I told her, pulling her towards them.
"Guys" I said, getting their attention, "This is my sister, Emma."
They all smile and say 'hello', she shyly waves to them. I introduce her to each person, though I doubt she'll remember their names. I get to Makena and Merle,
"This is my brother and sister-in-law, Merle and Makena. Guys, this is Emma."
"It's really nice to meet you guys." Emma tells them. Makena smiles and Merle nods. I appreciate that they even responded to her. Emma goes off with John, says their tired.
"You're Ally, right?" a tall man asks me.
"Yes. And you are?"
"Pete. I'm the doctor here." he said, holding out his hand. I shake it.
"It's nice to meet you. I suppose you're going to tell me to come in for a checkup?"
He chuckles. "You read my mind."
"I planned on doing it in the morning, will you be around?" I ask.
"Of course. Just come by my office anytime."
A blonde woman comes and stands next to Pete, smiling, "It's Ally, right?"
I smile back, "Yeah."
"I'm Jessie, Pete's wife." she said.
"It's nice to meet you."
"You're 5 months along, right?" she asked as Pete excused himself.
"Yes. I know, I look bigger than usual."
"That means the baby is healthy." she chuckled, "When I was pregnant with our oldest son, Ron, people thought I was a few months more than I actually was."
I laugh, "So it isn't just me?"
"No, it's a normal thing."
"Do you just have the one son?" I ask, curious.
"No, we have a younger one, Sam. He's three years younger than Ron. Ron is around Carl's age." she said.
"So is Makena, hopefully they'll all get along."
"So, how is Makena related to you?"
"She's my sister-in-law. I'm Daryl's wife." I said.
"I don't see him here." she said, looking around.
I sigh, "I know. He went outside the gates a few hours ago, I don't know if he's back or not. This isn't really his thing anyways."
"That's too bad, I would've liked to meet him." she said.
