This whole week went way quicker than I thought it would. It probably is because Zayn and I had gone back to our normal ways, which I don't regret at all. Were getting a long so much better than we did before, the same goes with my dad. I think this is the first time since mum passed, that we didn't argue. Yeah, this is definitely the longest we gone without arguing. Therapy and work is going well for him, and I'm glad. Jimmy and I have been talking a lot more, not so much at school. Only via email and a little text messaging, it was weird I admit socializing with other people. Since last week, Niall and I hadn't talked to each other at all - which I'm also relieved about too. I don't hate him at all, I like him, it's just - I don't have time for him, and I especially don't want to rush into a relationship if he has feelings for me. Which I hope he doesn't.
Speaking of Niall, he's been almost everywhere I've gone this week. Every day when I walk to school, he always waves to me where we met at my school for the first time. If I'm strolling through the new park, he's there on either the park bench, or the park's swings, or even just lying in the grass. When I'm off doing morning or night jogs, he's walking pass. And that one time when I was at the mall with Zayn buying clothes, he was there too. I'm a little freaked out by it if I can be honest. For all I know, he could be some freaky killer, but I know he isn't. I just wish he wasn't everywhere I went. The road that I originally used to take is opening up again soon, so I may start using that path again.
I walked outside to grab the mail. I searched for the right key as Dad and I have a massive key chain with every single key for the house on it. As I searching, I almost knocked over a brown, paper packaging. I opened up the mail first, grabbed it, picked up the packaging and walked inside. I scrolled through the mail to see if any of them were for me - I don't even know why I bother, nothing is ever there for me - But there was, there was something. I opened it up, and only a plain, creamy coloured paper was inside. I turned it around to see if there was any writing on the back of it. Nothing. I scolded, putting the paper back into its envelope. My gaze had then locked on the brown paper packaging. Scrunching off the papers and ripping them off, It had opened to my work uniform.
The Interview had gone well. Jimmy's manager - Marilyn - had asked me was how I was and how dedicated I am to work here and when I was available. I told her any time except not to late, and no school days, only weeknight's. She hired me on the spot there, which I was so relieved about. The uniform was very basic. The uniform was only a work shirt that had the colours red, white and blue on it. It was also coloured. Blue sleeves, one massive red line and the rest of the buttoned shirt white. Also my name badge 'Violet' was there too. I had to buy some work pants and work shoes, which was ok.
"Vi, you home?" I hear my dad say, shouting at the front door.
"In the kitchen!" He was home earlier than I thought be. He made his way through the halls and dropped his brief case and scarf on the kitchen bench. "Hey, kid." I smiled. "Whattya got there?" he pointed to my uniform. I showed him, pretending that I was wearing it while showing off. "I am now officially a check out chick!" I joked, he had then chuckled. "Awesome! You got a job quicker than expected. But that's ok though! When's your first shift?" he asked while pouring some coffee. He pointed to the coffee jar, a way of asking if I wanted some. I shook my head.
"I start Friday night." I stated. He took a sip of his coffee after he pored the hot water. "Good, good. Did you want a lift there?" Dad had been a great help lately giving me lifts everywhere. It was annoying that Zayn didn't have a license. It was even more annoying that I did and that I couldn't because no car. Well, we did have mum's, but I didn't want to ask him again to use it anytime soon. "Yeah, that would be great. I'm also going out to dinner with Zayn Friday night" He stopped drinking the coffee and placed it back down on the bench. "Going out? Like what, a date?" I rolled my eyes. "No, dad. Unless you mean taking me to McDonalds for some fries and nuggets is classy for a date" He only laughed and walked over to my side while I was packing my uniform back into the package. "Well you know, I just thought that maybe I should give the talk to him pretty so-"
