The Tower was dark.
Lord Richard Thorpe blinked in the darkening gloom.
Never had he seen such regal splendour.
But, as his mind wandered, he saw the true vision before his eyes.
It wasn't pomp; it was a jail.
And he was locked up like a prisoner.
His hands were shackled to the cold wall.
Yes, he did what was honorable; yes, he did what was necessary.
But now he suffered.
He saw one bed, and a single window that had black colored bars on them.
And a bucket to go to the toilet in.
It was...unbecoming of a Lord to live like a criminal.
He prayed to God. He vowed to escape, marry Lady Edwina, and have children....But only if he was let out of his prison.
