The English Guard halted.

They saw Lady Delia blocking their path.

The English Guard Captain had a sour look on his face.

"ON THE ORDERS OF THE QUEEN, DO NOT BLOCK THE PATH...OH, LADY DELIA! WHY ARE YOU 'ERE?".

"I am in Ireland because I am emigrating here with my husband-to-be".

"You Mother is bereft with grief".

"She is a tyrant".

"That may be M'Lady. Please come with me M'Lady. I'll see that you're safely back 'ome...and away from the Irish threat".

"They're not a threat; they're nice people".

"They're not M'Lady. Her Majesty has told us to oversee the Irish...and bring them into line".

"You can't do that, Captain".

"I can!", and he showed her official Royal papers.

Lady Delia perused the 13 page document.

"This is wrong, Captain".

"It is my duty to deal with the enemy M'Lady. And to take you home".

"But you can't do that".

"If you won't come M'Lady. then I'll inform your Mother that you're an enemy of England. And, thus, will be killed on sight".

"Leave my wife-to-be alone, Captain".

"M'Lord. How grave a situation you're in. Life is not full o' hope".

"Begone from here".

"I'm afraid I will need to take your wife-to-be back to England. Her Mother is most insistent on the matter".

"I won't let-".

And then the English Guard produced a sword.

It gleamed in the Irish morn.

He held it in his right hand.

And he knocked Lady Delia out.

And then kidnapped her.

"M'LADY!!!!".

And Lord Daniel attempted to rescue her.

"It's too late M'Lord. They're gone". Olive told him.

"This is not over!", he yelled.

And he collapsed onto the cobbled ground...and cried.
