3 years later

Three years, it had been three whole years since it all had happened. Yuu could still remember the bodies, the blood, the screaming. He could remember it all. It had been three years since that fateful day, he dimmed that day, his worst birthday ever. A lot of bloodshed happened on that day but for some reason, that was Yuu's main reason for hating the day. It was also the same day he last saw of Mikaela.

"No, I hate him." Yuu said to himself. "I'm glad he's gone, I never want to come face with a beast like him ever again." Someone knocked on his door. "Come in."

"Your highness, the Hiragis are here." The man said as he put his head in. "Your father requests your presence immediately."

"Yes, tell him I'm on my way." Yuu said as the man left, he got up from bed and wore some befitting clothes. He looked at the mirror admiring himself, he had really grown well, he was now twenty one, actually he was turning twenty one that day.

Since his eighteenth birthday, he had rebuked any ball of his birthday ever again. It would only remind him that it was his fault of the death of so many innocent people. His two birthdays after that was just a plain get together with friends, noting too fancy. The same was happening this year, but this time, he would be celebrating with his future wife.

"Future wife huh?"

It was a sunny day in the Hyakuya kingdom, a perfect day for an outside dinner. This was how Yuu wanted his birthday to always be, a small gathering like this with everyone around the table eating and chatting.

The Hiragis were also present, it had been three years since Yuu had seen Shinoa, he was happy to see her but he didn't know if he was thrilled about it. She too had also grown, although she still had a petite figure, she had grown taller and developed more. She was seated by his left, they would often exchange smiles and then give small talks to one another.

Shinoa noticed something off with Yuu, he didn't seem particularly interested. They would exchange a few talks but hr would look for means to end it. He also seemed to be dazing off and staring into blank space. Mitsuba noticed this too, and she wasn't happy with it.

"Once again, thank you for being here Hiragis." The King said. "It's a pleasure having you."

"It's a pleasure being here." Mahiru said. "So we heard about the tragedy three years ago, our condolence goes out to the lost ones and their families. And our congratulations goes out to your fighters my Lord, it's been three years and not a single complain of Skull, your men killed them all."

"Yes it was both a sad but joyful day." The King said. "Every year on this day we mourn the loss of our people, but the next we celebrate for the end of skull. But enough of that, let us continue eating."

"By the way, Mahiru dear, why didn't you tell us you had a charming brother." The queen said directing to the new face among them. He hard short gray hair and blue eyes. "Oh Shinya, it's so nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too your highness." Shinya said. "I'm sorry I couldn't come on our first visit here, I was sick and wasn't fit to travel."

"It's good to have you here." The Queen said. "So tell us a bit about yourself Shinya, any girls in your life perhaps?" The the guards and maids of the Hiragis, along with Shinoa and Mitsuba began to snicker. Chuckling lightly. "Is something funny?"

"Yes I do have a man in my life." Shinya said. At the same time, Yuu and his father spat out their drinks and began to cough.

"Oh. Man." The Queen smiled. "I'm sure he must be wonderful."
