{Reader POV}

You woke up to the sound of your alarm ringing loudly in your ear. You shut it off, annoyed. You covered your face with your blanket and closed your eyes. 'Ugh, I don't want to go to school...' You slowly got up and yawned sleepily in your mirror, rubbing your eyes. You opened up your closet and picked out some plain black jeans and a grey t-shirt. You brushed out your hair in the mirror and put it in a messy bun. After hearing your stomach growl loudly, you decided you needed some food. You walked downstairs and went into the kitchen, where your dad was gathering his things to go to work.
"Hey honey." He said calmly. "I got called into work, so I have to go."
"Okay daddy." You said, rubbing your eyes again, still tired. You walked over to him slowly with your arms outstretched and have him a big hug. He returned the hug and walked towards the door. He turned back to face you and said "Have a good day at school honey, I don't know if I'll be home tonight. Bye!" He waved goodbye and closed the door behind him. You walked over to the counter and opened the cupboard, grabbing some cereal. You poured some into a bowl and grabbed the milk out of the fridge and poured some of that in as well. You sat down at the table and ate until you mom came down the stairs. She rubbed her eyes as she said, "Morning. Did dad have to go into work early again?"
"Yeah, he just left."
"Oh okay." You finished up your cereal and went to go brush your teeth. You grabbed your toothbrush and toothpaste and brushed your teeth, then started gathering your stuff for school. Your mom was back upstairs, probably getting dressed.
"I gotta go, mom!" You shouted from downstairs.
"Okay hon, see you later, have a good day!" Her shout returning. And with that you grabbed your backpack and walked out the door, shutting it behind you.
On the way to school, you see someone waiting with a bike in front of a house on your street. As you get closer, you realize it is Jean.
"Hey, Jean!" You say, half shouting. He turns around to face in your direction. "Hey!" He gives a small smile and waves. You walked towards him and asked, "Who are you waiting for?"
"Oh, I'm waiting for Marco. This is his house."
"Oh really? I live right up the road." You point up to where your house would be.
"Cool, I live two streets over. I bike here every morning and then walk with Marco to school." You both turned to the house as a tired-looking Marco stepped through the front door. He looked up and caught your eye. He looked a bit taken aback by your presence.
"Hey [Y/n], what are you doing here?"
"Oh, I was walking to school and saw Jean, so I decided to stop and wait with him. I live right up the road."
"Oh nice, maybe we could hang out some time." He smiled and continued to walk towards you two.
"We should get going, we don't want to be late." Jean said. Marco and I both simply nodded, and we all started walking to school. You were walking behind Jean and Marco, and they were holding hands. 'Oh my goodness, they are so cute together!' You screamed in your head.

>time skip~ arrive at school<

You, Marco, and Jean part ways to go to your lockers. You practically skipped to your locker, excited to talk to Armin. When you got to your locker, you immediately saw him. He was getting books out of his locker and replacing them with his backpack. He looked up and saw you. He smiled and waved. He spoke when you were closer to him.
"Hey [Y/n]!"
"Hey Armin." You replied. He gave another smile, which you couldn't help but think was adorable. You opened your locker and got the things you needed, then closed it again.
"Hey, who do you have for your first period?" He asked.
"I have math with Mrs. Hardy." You replied.
"Oh, I have English with Ms. Chaplin." He looked down at his feet, then back up at your face. "I heard Mrs. Hardy is nice," He paused. "Is she?"
"Yeah, from what I can tell, she definitely is." You took a seat on the front steps if the school, waiting for the first bell. The two of you didn't say anything for a couple of minutes. He broke the silence with, "Hey [Y/n], do you want to hang out later? Like, at my house or something?"
You looked up at him to see him lightly blushing and tapping his fingers on the stair you were sitting on.
"Of course, Armin! I would love to!" He shot his eyes up at you very quickly. He smiled one of his adorable smiles, yet again, and said, "Oh really? I wasn't expecting a 'yes'! So, is my house okay? Or your house, if it's okay with your parents..." He mostly whispered that last part, but you still heard him.
"We can hang out at my house, I don't know if my parents will be home until late tonight anyways. My parents work pretty late every night, so I am alone most of the time. I can text my mom to ask her."
"Okay, if that's alright with you, then yeah, let's do that. Just ask your mom, of course." You nodded and pulled out your phone, opening the messaging app.
'Hey mom, can I have a friend over later? We just want to hang out for a while.' You texted her.
The first bell rang and you and Armin realized you were late for class. You both jumped up rather quickly and practically ran to your classes. You were running in the same direction, until you turned a corner to go to your classroom. "Bye Armin!" You shouted behind your shoulder at his disappearing form. You saw him wave at you from over his shoulder as you watched him run away, you still running in the opposite way.
You bolted to the door of room 472 and when you got there, you slowed down to a walk. Mrs. Hardy was just sitting down at her desk and had her head down, so you quietly slipped into the back of the room where you took your seat. She didn't seem to notice you at all, which was good. Marco looked over at you and made a face that said 'where were you?'. You mouthed the words 'I was talking to my friend' to him. He just shrugged and turned back to the front. Mrs. Hardy started taking attendance. After some other names, she got to yours. You simply said "here" and she finished up attendance. You felt a buzz coming from your pocket and assumed it was from your mom. You waited until it was a good time to take out your phone. You took it out of your pocket and read the text.
'Yeah that's fine, just... can you make dinner again? Your friend can stay for dinner if they want.'
'Okay thanks mom, and sure thing, I can make dinner. I'll invite him to stay for dinner, but I don't know if he will accept. He's not very... what's the word... well, he's too polite.'
You quickly texted your mom back and put your phone away. You couldn't wait until after school.

>time skip~ last period<

'Ahh, finally, last period. I'll be able to talk to Armin, too. Oh yeah and I'll tell him he can come over to my house.' You walked to Ms. Cheryl's creative writing class and took as seat. Armin wasn't there yet, but you expected him there any moment. You waited for a minute, and then looked up to see Armin walking through the door. He came over and took his seat next to yours. He was smiling, as always. 'Oh my gosh, he's so cute! Wait... DID I JUST SAY THAT!? Pff, yeah, I did...' You thought, weirdly, in your head. You were pretty sure you had a creepy smile on your face, because Armin just kind of stared at you until you snapped back into reality.
"Oh, hey, sorry. I was just thinking." He chuckled.
"Its okay, everybody thinks about stuff."

{Armin's POV}

'Everybody thinks about stuff?! What the heck am I even saying!? Stupid. Stupid.' I mentally scolded myself for saying such a stupid thing.
She chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose everyone does think about stuff." She said with a cute smile. "Oh yeah, you can come over to my house after school. My mom said you could stay for dinner too. I'm cooking though, because my parents won't be home."
"Really? Cool! Are you sure you want me to stay for dinner?"
"Pff, yeah! Of course I do Armin!" She said, slightly chuckling.
"O-okay, only if you want me to."
"Armin, it's fine! Just stay for dinner. It will just be us anyways. Now you look sad... Smile, please?" She gave a 'smile example' and plastered a huge, also quite adorable, smile on her face. I couldn't help but smile back. I think I felt myself blushing also.
"There's the Armin I know." She said, still smiling. 'Oh my goodness she's so adorable. Gah, shut up brain!' I said in my head. 'I couldn't be falling for her... could I?'

{Reader POV}

His returning smile was so extremely adorable, you felt yourself blush like mad. You couldn't stop yourself from thinking he was cute. And he was so nice...

'Am I falling for my friend...?'

[A/n]: Thanks so much for reading! This chapter was a bit shorter than the first chapter, but I thought this would be a good place to leave off at. I'm going to try to upload a new chapter about every two days, because it takes me about four hours in total to write a chapter. (I have been writing two hours every night before I go to sleep.) Anyways guys, I hope you guys enjoyed it! In the next chapter Armin and the reader will still be hanging out at reader's house; so don't worry, you won't miss out on that. Thanks guys! -Taylor (NuevaCielo)
