Never Forget You [Armin X Reader] {AU}

Chapter Six

The nurse came back into the room with two vials of pain meds. She first walked over to you, setting it up so the medication went through your IV, and then went over and did the same for Armin. A few minutes passed, and the pain started to subside.
"So, what even happened honey?" Your mom asked, worried. "Your friend didn't know anything."
"My... friend? Who was it?" You replied.
"He said he knew you from school, Marco, I think it was."
"Marco! Was he the one who found us?"
"Yeah, he said he found you guys lying unconscious in someone's front yard. Then he brought you here. He was here all night, but he had to go to school this morning, so he left a little while ago. He said he would come straight here after school." She said. "But, what happened?"
"A drunk guy happened. He attacked us. Well, obviously." You said.
"Yeah, he was relentless." You heard Armin say from across the room. You just now noticed that he had a large bandage wrapped around his hand and he had a horrible black eye. You weeped internally at the sight of your beat-up boyfriend. You sat in silence for a few minutes until your mom spoke up.
"I'm going down to get some food, and now that you're awake, and it's around dinner time, you should probably order something." You didn't really feel like eating anything, but to keep your mom from worrying, you told her you would order something when she was gone. She agreed to that plan and stood up, kissed you on the forehead, and said, "I'll be right back," and walked out of the room.
You wanted to get up and sit next to Armin, but pain spread though you whenever you moved. He looked kind of sad, but that might have been because he was in so much pain.
"Are you alright, Armin?" You asked.
"Yeah I'm okay, are you alright?" He replied.
"Yeah I'm fine. I hurt all over though..."
"Same." He said. You sat in silence for a few minutes until you spoke.
"I better order some food now since I told my mom I would." You pick up the phone on the stand next to your bed and ordered (whatever food you want).

Your mom came back in the room with some food from the cafeteria. A few minutes after your mom came back, a nurse with your food entered the room and gave you your (whatever you ordered). You ate it very slowly because you didn't really have much of an appetite.
After you finally finished your food, you started to feel tired and looked up at the clock. It read 7:28. You yawned and slowly drifted off to sleep.

>time skip~ ten months later<

"Hello!" You answered your phone. It was Armin. You were practically bouncing around your house, extremely happy. Tomorrow was the last day of school. It seemed like this school year had taken forever, with everything that happened to you.
"Hey, you're really happy aren't you?" You smiled to yourself.
"Yeah, I'm excited for vacation to start so we can hang out a lot more."
"Yeah I'm really excited too, especially because of get to hang out with my most favorite girl in the whole world all Summer." You felt yourself blush a bit and you smiled.
"And I get to hang out with my favorite guy in the whole world." You giggled a bit. "Anyways, I should go to bed, I want to be extra prepared for tomorrow." He laughed in response.
"Okay babe. Goodnight, see you tomorrow!"
"Love you, goodnight!" You ended the call and set your phone down on your bedside table. You shut your lights off and hopped into bed. You were so ready for school to be over.

You woke up, yawning and stretching. You pushed back the covers and sat on the edge of your bed. Just then, the screen of your phone lit up. You picked up your phone and read the text you just received from Armin.

'Morning babe, ready for school to be over?'

'Good morning, and TOTALLY! <3'

You then smiled and got off your bed, setting your phone back down. You got dressed and brushed out your hair and put on limited makeup. You didn't really wear it that often. You went downstairs and poured a bowl of cereal.
"Morning mom."
"Morning honey, are you excited?"
"You have no idea." You replied and smiled. She smiled back and took a sip of her coffee.
After finishing your breakfast, you brushed your teeth, gathered your things, said goodbye to you mom and skipped out the door. For once you were actually excited to go to school. You walked down the road a bit until you met up with Jean and Marco like you usually did every morning.
"Morning guys!"
"Hey [Y/n]!" Marco said.
"Hey." Jean said.
You practically skipped all the way to school, them walking hand in hand behind you. When you got to school, you found Armin. You gave him a big hug and quick kiss on the cheek.
"I can't wait until later." Armin said.
"I know right, me neither." You were so smiley and happy. Everyone else was excited, but not as excited as you were. You headed to your locker and organized it a bit, even packing away some little things ahead of time in your backpack.
The first bell rang and you headed off to homeroom.

>time skip~ end of the day<

You speed walked out of your last period of the school year and met up with Armin at his locker after cleaning out yours. You greeted him by hugging him from behind. You kissed his cheek.
"Ready to hang out at my place?" You said. He turned around, closing his now empty locker. "Yep." He took your hand and the two of you met up with Jean and Marco. Jean was just closing his locker and he slung his backpack over his shoulder. "Everyone ready to go?" You said. They all simultaneously nodded. You walked to the main entrance of the school and opened the doors.
The four of you walked out of the school like you belonged in an Old Navy commercial.
