Chapter Eleven: Nightmares

Jess' POV
Hunter had left to run a few errands, so I sat here with Ky. She was asleep and snoring softly. I've only known her awhile yet I loved her and wanted to care and protect her. This was just hopefully the first step.
I went back into the living room to read a book called "Remember to Forget" on phone. After about five minutes I heard Ky start crying.
Rushing to her room I found her still asleep. I sat in there on the floor holding her hand. Soon the crying had halted and she was softly snoring once again.
Pulling out my phone I decided to text Hunter.
J: Hey, how long till till you get home?
H: Like thirty minutes. Do you want to leave?
J: No I was just wondering cause Ky had a nightmare of some sort and awoke crying. She's fine now though.
H:I'll talk to you about that when I get back home Jess so see you in awhile.
Back to reading I suppose. The more I read the more tired I got. It seemed like hours even though it was only a few minutes. Eventually I had passed out on the bedroom floor.
