No one knew where we were going. In fact, we'd never even planned of a destination. It was by sheer luck that I could sense the direction that we needed to go. It was like I was being pulled- as if I would just trust every turn without thinking. I didn't know if that was because of me being the Slayer, or the fact that I'd been to this place before, in my dream. But I knew it was leading us to the industrial building, surrounded by iron gates.

We travelled by foot, which made the whole 'trusting my instincts without thinking' thing a lot easier, and a lot less dangerous. Victor and Kim followed me silently, determination etched on their faces. The fact that Victor didn't question the fact that I knew where I was going, made me realise that this must have been expected, and therefore, would work. That removed any doubt in my mind that I didn't know was there.

It wasn't long until we reached the pathway that I'd seen in my dream. I stopped there and turned to face Victor and Kim.

"I need to go in alone. I know what I'm doing. You guys should go around the back and try to find a way to get in and out. We'll need a quick getaway." I turned to Kim. "Will you be able to use magic to help that?" I asked, She pondered for a moment, then reached into a bag that I didn't know she was carrying. She brought out an old book, which looked like it was falling apart. She flicked through the pages furiously, before she found what she was looking for.

"I'll be able to do it. But you have to realise that I've been doing this stuff for literally a day. I don't know what could go wrong." She said, throwing a worried glance my way.

"As long as your spell or potion or whatever is only going to affect the gates, I'm sure it'll turn out okay. If it doesn't work, at least no humans will be harmed- I'll just have to escape the old fashioned way" I reassured her. I didn't know if escaping 'the old fashioned way' was going to work, but I had to believe it. I couldn't let anything get in the way if my main goal, who was being held in the building at the end of the path we were standing on. I took a deep breath.

"Okay. We all know what we need to do. Now go." I said, my voice flat. I found that in situations like these, I managed to bring forth the persona of a soldier making plans to invade a country. I couldn't be sure as to whether or not I liked that. But I had no time to worry about that.

We all ran up to the building as fast as we could, which meant that I got there first. I tried to dip back into my dream, to see if I could remember exactly what happened, so I knew what to expect.

I made short work of the gate, and landed almost silently on the grass. Immediately, I ran to the trees, and began to make my way to the building. Just like my dream, two guards were there. But these guys weren't human like they were in the dream. They were vampires. I didn't let that stop me.

I ran toward them, gripping a wooden stake in my hand, which I had taken from my pocket. I ducked under the first one's punch, stabbing him on the process. He crumbled to the ground as I butterfly kicked the next one until he was on the ground. It felt too easy as I plunged the stake into his heart.

I opened the doors, and was immediately stunned into stillness.

Cam stood in the foyer, giving me a look of curiosity. He frowned at me, before he noticed the stake in my hand. Suddenly, he was crouching down, preparing to attack. But I was still stunned, taking in his glorious beauty. His bright blue eyes, glowing against his alabaster skin. His dark hair, unkempt atop his head. His perfect, red lips, pulled over his teeth as he threw out a feral growl. Suddenly, he was on top of me, and my stake was halfway across the room. I didn't fight. I didn't even move. I could barely breathe.

"C-Cam..." I whimpered. His face calmed as a quizzical look returned.

"How do you know my name?" he asked, his voice robotic. I felt a tear fall, as sorrow rained down on my like acid. He really didn't remember.

"Cam it's me. It's Anna." I said softly, hoping to god that he'd remember. A spark that I hadn't noticed had disappeared, glimmered in his eye and I thought that he remembered. But he didn't.

"I don't know an Anna." He exclaimed, as he gracefully returned to a standing position. I clambered up, trying to hold back the tears.

"Yes, Cam. You do. You just don't remember. The made you forget." I explained. He gave me another confused look.

"Who is 'they'?" he asked.

"The King."

"Don't be ridiculous, little girl. The King have been nothing but kind to me." He said. I felt my heart beginning to tear.

"Cam please. Just come with me. I can show you-"

"I will go nowhere with you, Slayer. This is my home." That was the last of my heart, gone. I felt it being replaced by a black hole.

"I didn't want to have to do this." I whispered before slamming my fist to the side of his head with as much strength as I could muster. It worked as I'd hoped. He fell to the floor, unconscious.

I tried not to think as I lifted his heave body over my shoulder, and stumbled to the other side of the building, toward a small fire exit that I had noticed earlier. That was a stroke of luck- I'd never thought that getting him out of the building would be that easy.

I opened the door with sone difficulty, and my stomach dropped as I saw what was waiting.

Two sneering vampires were waiting.

Apparently, it wasn't going to be that easy.
