A despotic angel's mockery will resonate with the hearts of man.
Lighting the sky aflame with its twisted litany, myriads will see the horror dwelling in the light.
When the capricious arbiter raises its axe, nobody will deny the sin flowing in their veins
For the beholder sees nothing but sin and sinew.
Its gospel is a knell for those clinging to hope:
"To drink from the fountain life is to drown in the river of greed.
Better to rest in earth's womb than face cold perdition.
All the wise fear a restless eternity.
Fear not, for even the faithful must sleep,"
Proving to all who witnessed that death is true catharsis.
There'll be no one to repent to with the world in a grave,
Only the stony face above, a twisted mockery of god:
"Do not be afraid," it said in the messiah's charade.
