Time Passes...
*Post Summer Vacation.. Till when bond between Aisha and Aryan was normal.*

Within a few time, both Aisha and Aryan were quite talking to each other and Aryan helping Aisha in getting the stuffs done and introducing her to the new school norms. Well, seeing them together, made Maddy a little uncomfortable, but Aryan consoled him that he was just making Aisha comfortable to the new environment and that Maddy will always remain his best buddy.

As it was a new academic year, there would be now the phase of the "so-called" selection of new "Council Of Students", wherein some selected teachers and the honourable director of New Era Bright School - Mr. RD Raghavan, would select some most talented leaders who would perform certain duties to improve the cultures of school! *Bitch Idea*

Well, Aryan was in this Council for last three years performing different duties, each year and on different posts, every year. But now he was totally fed up of the Council and was no more interested. He liked being a leader and had leadership qualities but the untimely meetings, irritating nature of Raghavan, scoldings by teachers... Damn! And so he decided not to take up the form to qualify this time!

Well, before the Council Selection process, there was the grand programme of Independence Day celebration. And, to Aryan's surprise this time, the speaker for English speech on Independence Day, this time was to be selected from Class 10th itself.

"See, I am most excited for this. I want to be the English speaker this time dude. Hope that Ashini Mam selects me.", Aryan said to Maddy in breakast time.

"Hehe... Bro, if I am told to give a speech in the class, I would instead run the ground 2 times! Hahaha..!", Maddy laughed heavily.

"Shut up. I seriously want to give the speech this time. And I don't think anyone is there more capable speaker than me this time. Umm, maybe." , Aryan sounded quite bragging.

And Maddy too, agreed to his brag. Both were quite optismistic and were sure of Aryan's chances.

Finally, when the day came to be chosen for the speech, Ashini Mam had shortlisted some names : Aryan, Nandini, Neha, Kavya and Aisha.

Whoaaa!! Aryan was the single boy. Didn't matter to him. Nandini was the class topper last year, had a good vocabulary but Aryan was not aware about her speaking skills or about her. He was very sure that he would ofcourse pass by Kavya and Neha easily, and about Aisha, well she was a newcomer and had no such major impact before on the teachers.

All these students were to speak one after another and then Ashini Mam would select one!

Starting with Kavya and Neha, they spoke good but again Aryan was overconfident about their defeat. Nandini's turn came, she spoke fluently and with perfect tone but fumbled upon sometimes. Now Aryan and Aisha were left. Aryan started off and spoke on and on, so fluently as if he was Abraham Lincoln addressing fellow members. And after his speech, he somewhat puffed up his chest, and started walking to his seat quite confidently. Maddy added that he spoke very clearly, and was obvious of Aryan's selection!

Next was Aisha. She started of very well, and continued to speak clearly and with a melodious tone, spoke very admirably, as if it was her daily routine to speech in front of anybody. She also used some hefty and creative words, in a crystal clear accent that made Ashini Mam jump off her seat and gave her a standing ovation.

Aryan's face fell, his jaw fell open- either by the brilliant speech by Aisha or by the fear of his not getting selected. He was dumbstruck! His eyes became round as to what the result might be.

Ashini Mam came upon the stage in class, and proudly announced that the speaker of this time's Independence Day Celebration was none other than Aisha Kaul.

Aryan had an expressionless face as everyone were appreciating Aisha. Aisha came up to Aryan cheerfully, but Aryan said he had a work to do and went off from the class in a disgusting mood.

He was broken, angry, pissed off, jealous moreover, and shattered as he had once again lost the chance to excel. He was not worth it! AGAIN....
