Zayn's Point of View
I woke up at 6:15 AM like I naturally somehow do and went straight to the bathroom joined to my room. I yawned and rubbed the eye buggers out of my eyes and turned on the water. As soon as the water started getting warm, I entered the shower and shivered. Fifteen minutes passed and I'm clean and dressed. I look at the clock and sighed.  "Thirty minutes left to leave, Zayn," I heard my older sister yell.
"Okay!"
I grabbed my backpack and walked to the kitchen to grab an apple for breakfast, opening the fridge to get some apple juice.
"That's a weird combination," a heard a small voice say.
I look at my younger sister standing by the door and smiling. I laugh and flick her lightly on the nose.
"This is a breakfast for champs!"

I got to school and found Louis and Harry near the lockers where they always were in the mornings. I gave them a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek before leaning back against the cool metal waiting for Liam. Although I love all the boys the same, Liam is special for me. We spend more time together when all four of us aren't hanging out and we have similar personalities. I still love Louis and Harry with all my heart.

Soon Liam came and hugged us each, I held on for a bit longer. We walked to homeroom and separated. I'm not really a big fan of school but I always try my best in it, especially for my family. I really enjoy English and Art. Hours later, the bell rang and sighing, I get my backpack and meet up with Harry at the front of the class so we could exit together. Wrapping my arm around his neck, I drag him to my height so I could kiss his lips. He blushes and pushes me away.

"Zaaayn, how embarrassing!"

I laugh and we walk towards Liam and Louis who are talking about the AP History homework.

"Ready for practice?"

"Not really," I sigh. They looked at me, obviously worried. I just felt so tired and I felt the weight of the heavy load in my backpack of the packets of homework that were due the next day. Practice ended at 6:00PM and I had work from 7:30PM-9:00PM which meant another long night of no sleep.

I put on a brave face to try and not worry my boyfriends. Typical high school life. We walk towards the locker room after I refused to skip practice to change into looser, more comfortable clothes to practice in. I tightened the laces on my cleats and closed my eyes for a few seconds. Just 3 hours.

"Thank you for the ride, love!"

"Have fun at work, love you," Louis yelled out the window as he drove away with Liam and Harry, who blew kisses.

I arrived a bit late to work due to sleeping in the car and Louis not wanting to wake me up. I knew the boss wouldn't get mad but it is still bothersome knowing I could have prevented it. I tried to be in a good mood for the customers, as I knew the boss wouldn't forgive negatively towards them.

"Hello. Welcome to Red Fox Cafe!"
-
I looked at the clock.

8:32 PM

I sighed in relief. Almost time to go. The cafe was mostly empty now since it was almost closing time which was at 10PM.

I heard the familiar jingle of the door opening. I grabbed my notepad and saw a petite body being hidden by an oversized hoodie with the hood covering their face. I walked towards the new customer and smiled.

"Hello. Welcome to- Horan?"

Big, innocent blue eyes widened as they recognized who I was before a delicate pink flush spread across his cheeks. He looked down awkwardly. Of course he would.

"Oh, hello. I didn't know you worked here," the Irish boy said quietly. Rude, he wasn't even looking up. It's not like there is any other barista here, so he is stuck with me.

I rolled my eyes and glared at him until he finally looked up.

"What do you want?"

"Huh?"

"To eat, to drink?" Honestly, is he trying to make me look like an idiot. I couldn't even stop my eyes from rolling once again.

"Oh. Um.. just a lemonade."

Writing it down, I left as quickly as possible. That was awkward. Since it was almost closing time, they only have two servers on shift, me and Laila. She was an older woman of about 24, and already had other customers to deal with so I couldn't switch with her or ask her to take over Horan's order. It was only lemonade.

I quickly grabbed a meal that was meant for another customer towards the front so I could grab Horan's lemonade next.

I grabbed a glass cup and grabbed a few ice cubes. I poured the delicious, homemade lemonade unto the glass but then stopped. Horan doesn't deserve this, I thought bitterly and smirked as I dumped it out. Oops, looks like there's no more lemonade.

I happily walked out of the kitchen to Horan's table and groaned as I saw somebody else sitting with him. More orders. I stopped before I reached their table and frowned when I saw the other man before him was gripping Horan's thin wrist hard.

I shook it off and walked up to them.

"Sorry but it turns out we ran out of lemonade," I said. He looked up briefly before quickly looking down, watching his wrist.

"That's fine, we were just about to leave anyway," the other man growled and pulled Niall up firmly. He began dragging him out of the cafe and I decided to head back to the kitchen to sign out since it was already 8:57.

I didn't think much of what happened in the cafe when I returned home but at the same time, fearful blue eyes filled my dreams later that night, almost as if they were begging for help. The following morning, I had forgotten what had happened the night before.
