Now I'm checking my Facebook, and I see in my wall, a status update from Amanda Hillwood, the school's absolute gossip girl slash President of the Welcoming Committee . I'm VP, were not really close, but were good.

"Hey people! Tomorrow's first day of the schoolyear! #byebyesummer Anyway, just wanna welcome the transferred student from Alaska, Gabriel Slade. Be nice to him guys. lol. #justsoyouknow He'shot. xoxo."

Seriously? Ugh. Hmmmm... When I read Gabriel, first thing I thought, maybe this guy is another one of those boys who are handsome and charming and all, but slightly a badboy inside. You know. Gabriel is an Angel's name. Just predicting. I have no interest in guys like those.

But there's an annoying tingly sting in my stomach wanting to search his name. Pffttt! WTH is wrong with me. Nah.

I go downstairs and rush to my mom in the kitchen. She is wearing an apron which is kinda wierd. Mom's never really good at cooking, dad's the one who you can call the "Master of the Kitchen". But mom's a great baker, that is.

"Hey mom! New look?" I say to her.

She giggles a little and dad comes in the room.

"Mom, dad, I'm buying new school supplies with Hannah later. We wont be long." I slightly whisper, I'm never good at asking permission when mom's around. Dad's slightly cooler with handling "teenage things".

"Sure thing kiddo." dad says, always smiling.

"Okay but when will you be home missy?", mom interrupts. Ugh. I hate it when she does that.

"We wont be too long. I'll be home before dinner, mom. Byeee!!", I give them both a kiss on the cheek then run off like a little kid.
