The next day (First day of school)

"Haaaaahh.. Good morning to myself!", I say as I finally wake up still lying in bed. I hug my baby pink pillow and try to convice myself that I have to get up. I hate being late, but I'm just too lazy. Finally I gather all my strength(as if I hadn't slept) and sit on my bed still hugging my soft pillow. Then I realize Hannah hasn't called me back. Maybe that girl forgot. Ugh I hate being made to wait for nothing. I'm sensing something, something must be going on with her. But again, I want to lose my stupid habit of thinking too much. Maybe I'm just maing a big deal out of it. I'll see to ti to talk to her later.

Now I'm out of bed going to the bathroom. Since it's the first day, it wouldn't hurt to take more time in the shower. It usually takes me 20 minutes. Hmmm .... maybe 30? Hahaha. Heck, it's my house! I'll do whatever!

Now I'm waiting for our service(kinda lika a school bus, but we use a limo instead), I'm waiting for Pete the driver to come out of the house. I may be the teenager but that old guy really loves taking time grooming himself. I may be the only one who rides to shool in that car, but my parents think it's necessary.

Now Pete steps out of the house. He's wearing a sophisticated black suit that really makes him look serious, with a black cap on his head and black shiny shoes to match it all. He loves getting fancy more than me.

I'm wearing a white plaid buttoned shirt with a long star necklace my mom gave to me last week, skinny black jeans and my 3-inch heeled black converse. I'm using my red bagpack with lots of pockets. I like things with lots of compartments, they seem more convenient especially for a long schoolyear.

It's about a 10-minute ride from my house to school. I don't really mind. It still gives me time to check all my stuff and get ready for a long day at school.

We get to school and Pete opens the door for me, not like he really needs to do that. He's just a real gentleman. I step out the car and like any other girl, take a deep breath and get my self ready for another year that's got a hold of so many surprises instore.

"Bye Pete" I say as I wave him goodbye. He smiles and drives home away.

Looking at the school, I noticed they changed a few things. The buildings used to be painted whtie walls with red roofs, now the colors I see are mostly green and light yellow. Well that's pretty much it. Before I step into the doors, I think about my goals this year, which are mostly just surviving the high school and spending most of my time with my bestfriend Hannah.

As I get in the school's corridor, I go and check on my new schedule. I have English first with Mr. Coleman. Which is good. He's only one of some of the teachers who truly appreciate me here at Richfield High. And for me he's not boring at lectures at all.

I walk up to my locker,  no. 207. I look around and see a few familiar faces. The buff guy walking this way, that's Sam. He's in the school's basketball team. Yeah he may look really big and strong and all that, but he's really a softie. We've known each other sine middle school, and I can always count on him on anything. And also, he's my cousin and we've always been close.

I smile at Sam and he smiles back. It's wierd coz girls at this school actually L-O-V-E him and others think he's snobby, but Sam is really nice.

The black guy in the clean polo shirt is Demetre. He's one of the smart kids in here. He used to be recieve 1st honors awards all the time back then, but now no. Though he may not be the top student in calss  anymore, heck yeah he's smart. With that kind of brain he has on his head, almost as smart as Tyler.

Tyler's been my long-time crush. We were schildhood buddies but eventually we've both grown and matured. Mostly him though. I'm still me, but I've been completely inlove with him since 3rd grade eversince he lent me his jacket during winter. What? It was just a crush back then but now, I just really, really like him. Though I think his only love are his books. I mean, when we were younger he wasn't even the nerdy type, he loved playing and making jokes, but as we went through elementary, he found his way on the top of the class. Beating Demetre on the top spot. -_- Clever I say.

Hmmmm..... I noticed Hannah's not here yet. Though she may be often late, I actually thought she'd want to be early today, after all, she DID had something to tel me. I'm still wondering what it is.

*Riiiiiiiiiinnngg!!*

It's time already.

"Please proceed to the gymnasium for the welcoming flag ceremony." says by someone in the pager. I think it was Ms. Breton, the school principal.
