The two ladies looked at each other and nodded. They knew they had to ask-and they did.
"So," Lola Mameng began, "what was your contribution to this love story?"
To their surprise, God smiled.
"You," he pointed at Lola Mameng.
"And You," he pointed at Mommy Rio.
"I made the two of you, remember? One of you gave birth to Richard, and one of you gave birth to Maine's father."
Mommy Rio cleared her throat and asked, "So what do we do next?"
God took them in his arms and they started to walk. Then they heard Him say:
"Let's see which baby angels we could send back to earth. You may want to start thinking about baby names, too."
Then God winked.
