It was 6pm. The party would be starting any minute, and I was going to be late.
I straightened my tie as I walked outside to my car. Normally I wouldn't mind being late for a party, but tonight was different. It was the press release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, an album my band and I had been working on for a few months. I was quite proud of this one, too, so it was important that I was on time.
I pulled out of my driveway and drove down the street to my manager's house, careful not to speed, even though I was in a hurry.
As soon as I got out of my car, I ran up the steps and in through the the front door. Cameras were flashing as I walked in, and across the room, I could see the other three Beatles glaring at me.
I chuckled sheepishly. "I assume the party's already started?"
