Kouki's eyes slowly fluttered open. The pristine, snowy white room glowed in the dim light. The room had a displeasing rubbing alcohol smell, it made Kouki's stomach turn.

"You're up?" Someone whispered softly.

Kouki turned his head to see a short, black haired, blue eyed man. The man gave a chuckle. He took the seat next to the bed.

"You gave me quite a hard kick last night." He smiled solemnly.

Kouki blinked, a feeling of regert swelling in his chest.

"I-I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it, Shin-chan fixed me up."

Shin-chan?

"Who?"

The man tilted his head, a small laugh escaping his lips. "Midorima-chan."

"Oh." Was Kouki's only reply. He didn't recognize this man, but at the same time, he was very familiar.

"Do you remember my name?" The man asked, keeping his smile.

Kouki's mind went blank. He gave the other a sad look. He forced himself up, and slunk over, avoiding the other's gaze. "No... I don't. I'm sorry."

"That's fine!" The man's smile widened. "My name's Takao! I used to be the point guard at Shutoku."

Kouki stared in awe. He hardly recognized the other. Takao had grow up in appearance much quicker than Kouki expected. He no longer had the round-ish baby look. His jawline was much more present and his hair was a little longer. He wasn't as well built as he used to be, he was much more lean.

"Oh! Now I remember." Kouki rubbed the back of his head.

"You scared me and Shin-chan last night, what happened?" Takao looked at him, his face stern.

Kouki smile dropped. He broke his eye contact with Takao.

"I don't remember to be honest."

"Something frightened you. When you looked at me, you really began to freak out." Blue eyes met brown.

Blue...

Kouki blinked. "Blue..."

"What?" Takao gave a confused look.

"You eyes are the same color... as his..." Kouki turned his head toward the window.

Takao was silent. He gently rubbed Kouki's back, giving him an apologetic look. "I didn't think about that... I'm sorry Furihata, I should have had Shin-chan come in before me."

Kouki's head snapped around, looking Takao dead in the eyes. "You didn't know, what good would have come from it? If you hadn't come in so quickly, I might have hurt myself!"

Takao smiled politely. "I guess that's true."

Kouki awkwardly looked at Takao. "Did you guys tell Kagami and Kuroko."

"We told Kuroko, but he obviously didn't tell Kagami." Takao replied.

Kouki smiled tiredly and shifted on the bed, trying to get comfortable. Takao gave a stretch. "I'll go get Shin-chan, he wanted to talk to you, but first, I got you something."

Kouki tilted his head.

Takao handed him a sketchbook and some pencils. Kouki gently took the items from Takao.

"You're going to be stuck here for some time. So, I thought you could draw to pass the time away." Takao leaned forward, lowering his voice. "Kuroko said you liked to draw. Especially a certain someone."

Kouki blinked, letting Takao's words sink in. Kouki's face began to burn.

"I-I-I-"

"Between the three of us." Takao winked. He lowered his voice again. "You like him though, right?"

"TAKAO!" Kouki hissed, his face red.

Takao ran out of the room laughing.
