Instantly my heart softened, I lean more towards Michael while he puts on a performance, mesmerised at the fact he was in front me. He started to speak but all I heard was the beat of my heart and it overpowered his words making them sound like whispers. Yes, all this time Ramses was staring at me but who cares, I was looking at Michael and Michael was looking at me, both of us feeling the same thing, love. He started to speak and this time I started to tune in and listen...

"Do you remember? When we fell in love,  we were young  and innocent then," He said in a smooth, soothing voice. Oh his voice was smoky and hypnotized me instantly. I lean forward more to listen to the next thing to come out is sweet mouth, "Do you remember? How it all began, it just seemed like heaven so why did it end?" Oh Michael.

Did I feel Ramses' presence tense? Yes I did, he was not happy at all. It is only a matter of time before he tries to get his hands on poor Michael. But I'm making this moment last.

"Do you remember, back in the fall?" And with that he started to walk up to the thrones and come to me, my heart just started to beat another ten times faster, "We'd be together all day long." He took another step and spoke again, finally reaching the thrones, me, "Do you remember, us holding hands" He tenderly took my hand and brought it to his lips and softly kissed it. "In each other's eyes, we'd stare—"

Before he could finish, Ramses swiftly got up and specified the guard to seize Michael. Michael escaped, leaving my hand out stretched in a daze. I look at Ramses with a disappointed look in my eyes. Why *Hathor, why did you have to make him leave so soon? I rest that now sacred hand on my chest wishing he was with me again.

Not before long my heart returned to it's dark place, "Why Ramses? What has he done to you?" with my usual dead voice.

"He was trying to take my Queen!" He said in a rage.

"You need *Thoth, you are so ignorant, stupid," I reply. "What was your plan for— the magician?"

"To be executed! At once!"

"Ramses! You will not execute the magician!" I thundered, "You may punish him, put him through torture but you will not kill him!"

He grumbled and sighed, I gave a small smirk, "If it makes my queen happy—"

"And you may banish him and leave him be," I added.

Ramses bowed, "Very well my queen," he replied.

"Good," I simply say getting up from my throne and have my ladies in waiting follow me to my room.

Only in my chamber I show my true emotions. I lounge in my bed, heartbroken, stroking my *heka and the cats that roamed the palace kept me company. My ladies and servants try to talk and offered me goods but I refused all of them. I sighed and walked to my balcony and overlooked my kingdom, praying that Michael wasn't caught. Not long after my prayer, I heard footsteps, I spun around shocked to see Michael coming to me. He was now directly in front me and I stared into his eyes with more love than before, I couldn't take it. My pride went through the door at once and I embraced Michael warmly, "I love you Michael," I sighed into his ear. Hathor took over me and with that, I kissed him instantly, melting into his arms. The Great Michael returned the action, holding me up. We unlocked the kiss and our foreheads touched, "Stay Michael, I'll hide you, I'll have my servants build you a home, stay with me,"I whisper desperately.

"Cleo I cannot stay here but I can visit, I must leave," he replied.

"Every 28 days you must come to see me, that is an order," I instructed.

"Your wish is my command my Queen," Michael said bowing.

"Please, call me Cleo," I say holding his chin bringing his head up.

Michael smiled, "Yes— Cleo." For the first time in years, I gave a smile out of pure happiness, my love has come back to me.

Michael indeed follow Cleo's orders and every 28 days, Michael has come to see the Queen. Very little romance happened between them but the presence was all that mattered to them.

*Hathor - The Egyptian goddess of love, *Thoth - The Egyptian god of knowledge, *Heka (crook) - The shepherd's crook stood for kingship.
