Yui skipped down the hallway, towards the stairs. Now, Yui may seem like a 5 year old girl, but she's really a 17 year old girl, who just acts childish by heart (plus her grandpa spoils her). Yui's stopped at the bottom of the stairs, and saw her grandpa lying over them. "Oh no!! Grandpa!!!" Yui jumped up to him, flipping him over. "Grandpa! Are you OK? Speak to me!" Cried Yui, tears springing up in her eyes as she checked for his breathing. The old man slightly opened his eyes, and squinted at Yui. "Why are you yelling at me?" He said in a sweet voice. He got up, and started to walk down the steps. "Grandpa, wait! Are you hurt?" Yui asked. Grandpa turned around, having to look up at her he was so short, and said "Why would I be hurt by sleeping on the stairs?" Yui's mouth dropped. "B-but it looked like you fell!" Yui crossed her arms. "The stairs are not for sleeping on, grandpa. That's what your bed is for." Yui walked down the stairs past her grandpa, and back to her room. "Oh...." Said grandpa, gazing at the stairs. Miku rubbed against grandpas leg, and let out a soft "meew". Grandpa sat down next to Miku, stoking her fur as they both looked at the stairs. "She's had a rough life Miku... Just be patient with her..." Said grandpa. "Make sure to always be there for her, and to not ever leave her side... I don't know what I'd do if I lost her again." Grandpa's eyes became watery, as he got up and walked up the stairs towards his room. Miku watched as he left, blankly staring at the stairs. Soon, Miku set off for Yui's room, somehow understanding what grandpa had said.
