Finding Charlie

Chapter 1

I was walking out of school early with Shane, Dawson, and Marissa talking about our plans for Shane's birthday party. "We should head over to that amusement park by my house?" Marissa asked. "The abandoned one?" I asked. "Ya, wanna go?" Marissa asked. We all said yes and we were on our way to the park.

*Skip walk to the park*

We arrived at the park and jumped the fence. we all went and turned on the power for the park. Surprisingly it all worked. We went on all the roller coasters and then when we got on the marry-go-round and when we went to get off we heard police sirens. We got off and thought that it was far away but to our surprise it was right behind us. The police officer asked us "Why are you on this property?". Nobody answered. They put us all in handcuffs and put us in the police car and took us to the police station. While we were in the waiting cell I got called back to a room. They sat me down and asked me what my name was and where I am from and who is my family or who I stay with. I told them everything and they told me that my whole life has been a lie. A lady from Children Services came in and sat down in front of me and said "Okay, let me get to the point. You have been living with a kidnapper. When you were 3 you were kidnapped from your home in Sydney, Australia. Your now 16 right? So the past 13 years you have been living a lie. If you mother has never showed you a picture of you when you were a baby or showed you a birth certificate it's because it's all a lie. Sorry to crush your dreams but your leaving Hollywood and going to Sydney with your real family. We already have your kidnapper in jail. We have a plane ticket for you and we will take you to your house and you can pack your clothes. You leave tomorrow at noon." She got up and left. I sat there for a while and just thought to myself about leaving and my life being a lie and getting a new old family. I must of sat there for a long time because a police officer walked up to me and asked " Are you ready to go?" I shook my head yes and got up. They drove me to my house and I packed all my clothes and valuables. When I came out of my room I asked "Where am I going to stay tonight?" The police officer said "You will stay in the comfortable holding cell at the police station for the night. You will have everything you would normally have in a house except for a kitchen and different rooms but we will leave the door open so you can change and go to the bathroom and eat in peace." I shook my head yes showing that I understand and I picked up my bags and put them in the car and I got in the back. I rode to the police station in silence. Once we got to the police station I picked up my bags and put them in the room they put off for me to change and eat and use the bathroom and put my bags in while I slept in the holding cell. I walked in and put out a outfit for the next day and put on my pajamas and my toothbrush and toothpaste. Once i got settled in one of the girl officers came in with a McDonald's bag and said "Here we got you nuggets and a large fry, we didn't know when the last time you ate so we got you a lot of stuff. "Thank you, I ate lunch around noon.". I sat there in silence and ate my food once I was finished I walked into the cell and fell asleep.
