Emily grabbed a box from the moving truck and began to carry it up the beautiful grassy lawn. The house was nice, she couldn't complain about that. It was old, but absolutely breath taking. It had around 8 acres of green hills and meadows and even had a lake with a small cabin. The house was a large white house with black shutters. The massive white columns gave it that last little touch to complete it all. She would have plenty of room to go running. Emily has been a runner ever since she was a little girl and she loved it more than anything. She felt so free when she went running. She has a loving mom and dad, an annoying big brother, and a wild older sister. Emily was he baby of the family but she didn't mind. She loved her family. She was daddy's little girl and star athlete. Life was good and she was even okay with the move. She knew that this was exactly what her family needed to move on. The last year had been a nightmare and she wished nothing more than to forget it all. She set down the box labeled kitchen stuff and went back outside. "Think fast!" Yelled Matt with a huge grin on his face and his big blue eyes shining bright as he threw the football towards his little sister. Emily barely had anytime to think. The ball was already in the air when Matt had said anything. Being the good athlete she is and having great reflexes, she caught the ball.

"You're gonna have to do better than that big bro!" She laughed. Throwing the ball back to her brother. Matt caught it with ease, he was on basically every sports team at the school. Their entire family was athletic. Emily was on cross country, track, swim, soccer, tennis, and she did horseback riding outside of school. She had good grades and was an obedient daughter. Her big sister was on the soccer team with her and was the captain. Hannah, her sister, did every sport Emily did minus the horse back riding. Hannah was really good at sports and school but she loved to go out and party. Matt made decent grades but focused on sports. He was a smart kid though. Emily loved school and had a GPA of 4.3. Her favorite class was English and she was really good at writing. She even kept a journal. Snapping back out of her daze she saw Matt catch the ball and throw it to their dad David. He was too busy with the boxes to notice the ball flying towards him in time to leap up and catch it. The ball flew far out somewhere on the massive lawn.

"Nice going Matt." Hannah said sarcastically.

"Hey dad is the one who didn't catch the ball!"

"You two are pathetic! I'll go walk and get the ball. I'm walking. Wow this is so difficult!" Emily replied, being the usual smart ass she is. She laughed and shook her head. She loved her siblings but they were always picking fights over the most stupid things. Emily always made some comment that made everybody laugh and they went back to being happy. She looked around for the ball and couldn't find it. Matt had thrown it pretty far and with all the big oak trees it could be anywhere.

"Looking for this?" Asked the very tall man from behind her.

"Oh. Um. Yeah. Thanks." She smiled as he handed her the ball.

"I was just coming over to say hello to the new neighbors. My sister made a pie, but she had to go so I came to give it to you. I'm Sam by the way. I live a little down the road." Emily smiled and realized she was supposed to respond. He had caught her off guard. Sam just smiled even bigger and let out a small laugh. His smile was the most stunning thing ever.

"Oh. Hey. I'm Emily. You can come meet the rest of my family, if you'd like" She said.

"Yeah. I'd like that." Said Sam still grinning at the gorgeous girl in front of him. They walked a little ways back to the front lawn.

"So have you always lived in Louisiana?" Emily asked.

"We moved here about three years ago. I live with my mom and my sister. You'd like her, my sister. Katherine she's about your age maybe a little older."
