He was my best friend, my soulmate, there's no doubt about it. No one can replace him. That is why I can't move on. I want to and I've tried, but I always break it off before it gets too serious.
Our love story was beautiful, one I'll never forget. All the little things we used to do and everything we have ever done is etched into my brain, it was unforgettable.
One night, I woke up to blood all over the bed, pillows, sheets, everything. I knew what was coming, but I didn't want to believe it. He was bleeding really bad through he nose and mouth. I was crying hysterically while in the waiting room of the hospital. When they called his name I cried even more than before.
A lot of people spoke at his funeral, beautiful words, but I couldn't. I just couldn't. I would have broken down in front of everyone. Matthew comforted me the whole entire time.
Every now and then I get flashbacks about our time together. I don't want to forget, but I don't exactly want to remember either. I fell into depression, and I don't want to fall back into it.
"Good morning Mr. And Mrs. Phillips, how are you?" I spoke to one of the daily couples.
"I'm fine dear, and how are you?" She sweetly replied.
"Very well. I'm guessing two hot coffees, milk and sugar!"
"You guessed it,"
"It will be right out,".
That's the thing about living in a small town, you know everyone's name and everyone knows yours. Not many new people move here as I'm not sure it is even on the map. I giggle at the thought and continue on with my day.
"Hey Delilah?" My manager Angie asked.
"Yes Ang," I replied.
"Well we have a new employee working down by the dock, and I was wondering if you could show him around town. His name is Graison and he is 23,"
"Oh yeah, I guess that'll be alright," I said with a smile. In the background Matthew was cheekily smiling.
I knew what they were doing. They want me to get close with this 'Graison' person, so that maybe I'd get into a relationship with him. I'm not up for it. But I'll still show him around amend maybe make a friend.
Angie let me leave early since that shop wasn't that busy. She was also very eager to have me me show Graison around. Oh my goodness, what have I gotten myself into.
It's about 12:30 and I am on my way to the marina to find Graison and show him around. You see, the coffee shop and marina are very close partners. We promote their fishing boats, seafood, jobs, and they have the crew on the boats that come in early to our diner for breakfast. Angie's cousin, Michael, deliver food to him and his employees every morning. I don't mind though, the people down there are ver kind.
As I opened the door to the bait shop, the main part of the marina, I went up to the counter and Michael sweetly greeted me as he usually does.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite waitress,"
"Good morning Michael, how are you?" I ask.
"I've been good, what can I do for you sweetheart?"
"Well I am looking for a boy named Graison,"
