"No you don't" Nandini glared while moving back as Manik stepped closer. Unaffected by her words, he smirked and continued walking towards her. She realized that she couldn't move back any more since the wall had blocked her path.

Damn this wall! Whose idea was it to construct it here? Of course, his!

Gritting her teeth, Nandini tried to run by making her way aside but having anticipated this move already, Manik quickly blocked her path by jumping in front of her.

"What the...?" Nandini swore. "Get aside" she said stiffly.

"What's the hurry?" he said huskily and gently pushed her back. He hadn't touched her though and there wasn't any need for it either, because in order to avoid being touched by him she had moved back automatically.

Any more movement and she would be a part of the wall now.

"You're crossing the line" she warned after taking in the smug look on his face. Her heart was beating louder than a drum and it was a wonder that he couldn't hear it.

Manik arched an eyebrow. "Am I?" he whispered. "I wasn't aware of the existence of any line between us in the first place" he stepped closer and placed his hands beside both the sides of her face on the wall. "And if there is one" he bent closer. Their lips were merely a whisper apart. "Then I'm going to make sure it doesn't remain anymore"
