Cloud, Flint and Feather were 3 months old now. They could hunt, fight and swim. They were still to young to fight anything big yet. That will not save then. Waking up in a battlefield was never good. There was a fox. It was battling Eagle and Frosty. The fox was winning.
"My young! Run away!" yelled Frosty when she had the chance to breath. She jumped right back in the battle.
The three young ones ran as far and fast as they could. They stopped at a giant oak. Flint and Feather whined in fear. Cloud looked back.
The fox bit Eagle in the throat, with he then fell still. Frosty jumped at the fox, but was ripped to shreds by the fox. They both lied still, blood all around. The fox went to their dead bodies, and started to eat them. All of them was gone.
He turned around, tears in his eyes, tail drooped down.
"Did they win?" asked Flint.
"Are they alive?" asked Feather.
He couldn't reply. Too much was happening. There was no balance. There was nothing of him. He ran into a tree, everything then went black.
"Cloud! Cloud!"
"Wake up, Cloud!"
He gasped. He woke up. The smell of blood infested his nose. "Did we kill the fox?"
"We didn't kill the fox."
He paused. "Then why do I smell blood?"
"You crashed yourself in a tree, Cloud. Your bleeding."
She had to be joking. He wiped his forehead. She wasn't lying. His paw became covered in blood. The redness, the gooeyness, it made him sick. But he didn't let that weaken him. He rose up, woozy from losing blood. He started to walk away.
"Where are you going?" asked Flint.
"To find a new home. Join me, we can survive."
And so, Cloud, Flint and Feather went on an adventure. Through days and nights, through harsh rain. It just made them tougher. A struggle in their path happened when they were 5 months old. They reached a waterfall, they had to jump over the gap. Cloud jumped, his small legs did not help. He hung on from the edge with his claws.
"Cloud! Be careful!"
"Don't die, Cloud!"
He tried to hold on, but still being young, he let go. He fell down, hearing his brother and sister calling for him. There was nothing to do, nothing at-
