January 14, 2016. (9:37 p.m.)
Because of the two deaths the school got called off for a week. No one had no clue who would do this stuff and neither did I.
Yes, it was my body, but it wasn't me. Something was in me, controlling me, every part of me was under this creatures control.
The next Sunday my parents forced me to go to church. My entire body restrained. Somehow they managed to make me go.
Once in the parking lot my whole body tensed. I slowly walked in and my body tensed more. That's when Serena came over to me.
***
"Camden, what's wrong? What's going on around here? Zoe and Carson are... gone and you are looking overly pale."
"Serena," I whispered. "Nothing will ever be the same."
She looked at me weirdly as if I had lost my mind. Which clearly I probably had.
"Cam, what's going on?"
"The end is here," I said to no one in particular as I walked into the sanctuary.
***
Several people shook my hand and I smiled. Everything around this place was making me uneasy.
My dad started the sermon and that's when it all took place.
My face started to burn. Everything inside of me was burning. I got up from the pew and started walking out.
"Camden Marie Brewell! Where are you going?" my mom whispered to me.
I slowly turned my head towards her. My face was overly red. I could feel it peeling. People around gasped. The looks of terror on people's faces were scarring.
***
My dad had paused the message. "Camden, are- are you okay honey?"
"I'll never be okay," I managed to get out in my normal, real voice before it got even worse.
My whole body went limp and I fell to the floor. People were screaming, some children crying. I couldn't move but something in my body made me start pulling myself to the door. I dug my nails into the carpeted floor dragging myself out.
On the small glass window on the auditorium door I could see my reflection. Pieces of skin were peeling from my face and my eyes were black orbs. I looked like I was burning, spots were on my skin.
I started screaming. I couldn't get out.
Although eventually I did.
***
Nothing has ever been more terrifying.
