The Possession

Page 3.

               January 8, 2016. (3:37 p.m.)

      Zoe and I were at a costume shop. My parents didn't know about the party, and they never could. We were looking for something to wear. We tried on multiple costumes and Zoe had chosen a Superwoman costume that made her look great.

     I tried one on when Zoe handed me another one.

     "Sexy kitty, really?"

     She rolled her eyes. "Just do it." I grabbed the costume and tried it on. "Zoe, come here," I called. Soon enough she was in the dressing room with me. 

     "Girl, you look amazing," she said. I turned and looked in the mirror. It showed basically everything. "Don't you think. It's a bit much?" I asked.

     Zoe looked at me like I was crazy. "Don't worry. Carson will love it."

    I looked at her. "What are you talking about?" 

     Zoe patted my shoulder. "There is no way he could resist you in that. I mean, look at your curves."

     "I never even thought of that."

     Zoe turned me towards her. "Think about it. Do you want to get with Carson Phillips?"

    I thought about it. I closed my eyes and pictured it. The thoughts themselves were amazing. I found myself nodding my head.

    Zoe smiled. "That's what I thought. Now get the costume, and I guarantee it'll happen." She left the dressing room I was in and I changed back into my normal clothes.

     I ended up getting the costume and with only three more days until the party I still had to convince Serena. 

    I spotted her first thing in the morning and I fast walked up to her. "Serena!"

    She looked at me and rolled her eyes and began walking away. "Serena!" I called again. I reached her and she quickly spun around. "Camden, No! I know what you're going to say, and my answer is still no."

     I sighed. "Okay, I just need a favor."

    She hiked her backpack further onto her shoulder. "What?"

     "The night of the party I need you to say I'm coming to your house."

    Her eyes widened. "You want me to lie to your parents?"

    "Yes. Is that so much to ask?" 

    "Cam, I really think that this is a huge mistake."

    "You're my best friend. I have done so many things for you in the past you can't do this one thing for me."

     She sighed. "Cam, you know I would do basically anything for you, but I am begging you. Please do not go to that party."

     "You know what Serena." I huffed out angrily. "I'm honestly wondering if you're even my friend. If you were you would do this one favor for me."

     "Camden, that is not the case. I love you and you know that. I just can't do this I'm sorry."

     I was angry. "You know what. I don't want to hear this bull. I'm tired of this. I don't have time for this I got things to do. I'll see you later."

     "Cam," Serena started but I was out of ear shot before she could finish.

      To this day I realize that I should've listened to her.
