It was finally Saturday, October 18th, the day of Annabeth and Simons date. Simon was extremely nervous as he got ready, though he shouldn't be. Being Simon Clark came with its perks he was an owner of a nation wide billion dollar company. That also means more choices to choose from. What car? What clothes? What anything? Simon thought. As the clock turned closer to 8pm he anxiously put on jeans, a sweater, and slipped into one of his nicer cars.
Being perfect Annabeth, she already knew what to wear. Ugg boots, leggings, and a t-shirt, 'forgetting' her jacket at home. Annabeth got dressed and waited for Simon. Suddenly she heard a knock on the door. She waited about five seconds, opened the door, and greeted Simon. She walked out the door grabbing Simon's arm. He blushed. They entered the car and had some small chat. Once they got to the movies Simon hopped out and opened the door for Annabeth to let her out.
Annabeth smiled, "Such a gentleman."
"I try."
They got in and he paid for their tickets and the popcorn. They then walked into the showroom and sat down. "It's so cold." Annabeth said looking over at Simon.
"Here take my jacket." He replied, quickly shrugging it off.
"You're so sweet!"
Once the movie started Annabeth put the popcorn slowly on the floor, and took a hold of Simon's hand. He blushed radiantly. I hope Annabeth doesn't noticed, thank God theaters are dark. Simon thought. Annabeth knew about Simon blushing and could feel his heart beat faster. Annabeth smiled because she knew her plan had set sail. Even though Annabeth was happy her plan was working she couldn't help but feel a pain in her heart. She imagined it wouldn't be much longer until she had him head over heels over her, if she didn't already. Once she saw that Simon was in love with her she would tell him. After that is will like any other perfect relationship, not perfect. There willbe fights, but they'll make up. There will be good times and bad times. But just as things got great and Simon could potentially pop the question, she would have to start phase 3. She would have to ruin his life to save hers. She would abruptly break up with him saying she had to leave, that she was in trouble and didn't want him to get hurt. Knowing he would want to help, he would have no choice but follow her leading for her to make her first and hopefully last human kill. Then finally, Annabeth thought, finally I could go home. See my mom. Get some answers. That's all Annabeth wants, just to go home but she can't. She has to kill a human and not just any human one that was in love with you, and just happens to be Simon.Annabeth finally got out of her thoughts only to see the movie had ended and Simon was staring at her. Oh crap, she thought as she got back into character. "What!?" Annabeth blushed towards Simon.
"Nothing it's just . . . Nothing."
"No tell me!"
Simon shook his head, bit his lip and smiled, "It's just... you're so beautiful Ann." Annabeth stop in utter heart ache. "What? What's wrong? Oh gosh I'm sorry Annabeth what's wrong?"
Tears filled Annabeths eyes, her first real emotion towards Simon, as she spoke, "Nothing is just my mom called me Ann.. and well she passed away six years ago."
"Oh. Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I won't call you-"
Simon was interrupted with Annabeth stating, "No its okay, I like it."
Simon shyly smiled at her. The conversation ended and they made there way to the car. Simon walked up the driveway to Annabeths apartment building and they both stopped in front of the third door.
Annabeth grabbed Simon's hands and spoke, "I had a really nice time, we should do something again."
"Me too.." Simon was about to say more, but thought it worthless as he grabbed Annabeths waist drawing her closer. She gave a slight gasp. Annabeth went to her tiptoes as Simon put his head down and planted his lips smoothly onto hers slipping his tongue into her mouth it was a beautiful first kiss. Almost as if was meant to be.
A perfect first 'date'.
