Becca's Pov:
Earlier tonight I made up a plan to meet the guy who had been looking for me. I was going to work my normal shift and then i'd confront him. I know doesn't sound too smart, for all I know he could be a psycho.
° A few hours later, Becca is working and she confronts the man °
There he was right in front of me, the man I've been seeing, lurking in the shadows. I finally thought of something to say, but he reached out, trying to grab me.
My reflexes kicked in and my arm shot up. Using my hand, I swatted his away then he tried again. This time he tried to strike me, so I dodged his punch and hit him in the gut.
He backed up and said "Damn she said you would be strong I didn't believe her." I rose my eyebrows in confusion "wait what? What are you talking about?"
"Becca you really don't know do you?" I was partially shocked and confused at his statement but also not totally doubting it. He spoke again "didn't you ever wonder how 2 months ago, you were able to escape from the man trying to mug you?"
I shook my head "wait what the hell? How did you know? And if you were there why didn't you help?" he chuckled saying "well from what I could tell, you had the guys arm twisted behind his back. And he was squealing in pain."
I thought back to that day when the stranger attacked me. Come to think of it, the guy in front of me, I saw him there, under a street light.
He put his hands up now telling me "so can you please not look at me like you're going to kill me?" I realized all my muscles were tensed, and my fists were still balled up. I eased up, then leaned against the wall in front of the kitchen.
He started talking to me, telling me there is more like us out there, and we have extraordinary abilities. There is also an agency who is hunting us down called "Genex".
Apparently we were born with DNA that was far superior than regular humans. Well then if we aren't humans, what in the living hell are we?
