Normal POV
As I listened to him I remembered this stuff that I had felt and stuff during the times. Though he didn't get into much detail about the scale thing, he did mention it. I was finally able to leave after an hour of sitting there listening to him and getting checked by the doctor. Eric lead me to the car and we got in. Ross told me more of the days after which were kinda boring since I didn't go back over for a few weeks or something like that but by the time we got home I remembered most of what he was saying and more. I remembered that I had a crush on him for two months when he had a girlfriend. I remember that when they broke up I was there for him and even spent the night at there house till he was ok. I remembered so much about what was happening that he didn't leave. He stayed over since it was Saturday. He decided to continue his side of the story when he had a girlfriend.
Ross POV
I haven't asked out Mari since uh I asked out this girl that I've known forever. Her name is Miriam. She's awesome and all but I didn't exactly like her as much as Mari. Miriam was a 7 on the scale an average girl but she was pretty. If she wasn't then she would be lower on the scale. There's nothing special about her but I don't know. I guess I just spoke without thinking and now I'm dating her.
It's been three months since me and Miriam got together. Today though was different. She didn't come to me in the courtyard and in the afternoon she told me it was over. She tried to be nice and say that it was great but I could see it in her eyes that she knew I wasn't into her. She's one of my great friends so of course she was able to figure it out. I didn't like that she broke up with me and Mari noticed. She was there for me and even stayed the night for a week to make sure I was ok. Though I wasn't either way but it was nice having her at my house for a week.
Today is the day that they announce about the winter formal. I'm planning on taking Mari but she didn't seem too into it when it was announced but at lunch Rydel asked her if she even wanted to go. "well I don't know I mean it's just a winter formal"
Rydel almost had a heart attack "it's not just a winter formal. Everyone who is someone goes and hangs out. The decorations are beautiful, we always have a DJ, we have bands and goodness it's the one time other than prom that there isn't a dress code you HAVE to come!"
Mari smiled "well when you put it that way..."
Rydel squealed "now that's better. But we need to talk."
Rydel and Mari leave and I know they are talking about dates. I had to ask before rocky or ryland ask since Riker has a girlfriend and Ratliff usually goes solo. They come back and both of them are smiling. I whisper to Mari "so who do you want to go with?"
She took her phone out and texted me her answer. 'you' she blushed a bit when I looked from my phone. "hey Mari?"
"yea?"
I smiled "will you go with me to the winter formal?"
All of the conversations at our table stopped as we waited for her answer. She smiled "sure Ross"
The conversations started back up again then school flies by. Mari decides to let me drive her car to my house. I'm so excited that I'm literally jumping around. "Ross"
I stop and smiled "sorry I'm excited"
She smiled "I figured but uh this car is my baby ok? Don't do anything stupid and I might let you drive it again"
I smiled. We got in the car and just to get on her good side I drove the speed limit. We got to my house and she smiled at me "next time you drive you can go a little faster than the speed limit"
I smiled and I took her hand. I don't know but it feels right having her hand in mine. It fit perfectly in mine. She smiled and I lead her in the house. "hey mom!"
