Chapter 3-
"Tessa Gray, I love you to the ends of the earth, and I have loved you since you came into my room that night all those years ago. You have never left my mind since I became a Silent Brother, the only thing that kept me going was the hope that I might be with you again. And now that I am with you, I couldn't be happier. Just seeing your face makes my days so much better. You're the best person I've ever met, and I want you in my life forever and ever. I want you with me until I die. You accepted my engagement before, and I would be so happy if you accepted a second time. I love you, Tessa."
"Of course, Jem. Yes, of course," she was crying.
"Good. Okay, good. I love you, Tessa, and I'd do anything to make you happy," he said.
"And you always do," she kissed him, "I love you so much."
"I'm really happy we actually get to go through with it this time. I promise to do everything I can for you and our baby, if you want me to walk across the world, I would." He had the biggest smile on his face.
"I know you would. You're going to be a fantastic father."
"And you're going to be the best mommy out there. So shall we?" He offered her his arm," it's getting late."
That night they lay together in their bed, talking for hours; about how it's going to be when they're married, their child, and when the wedding is going to be and how it would happen. Of course, neither of them had much family left-none that they actually knew-so they decided to go to the Silent Brothers and bring pretty much their only friend, Magnus along. All in all, it wouldn't be so bad. They didn't think about dresses or cake or anything. Just that they were finally getting married, nothing else seemed to matter.

Tessa fell out of the portal on her hands and knees gasping for breath, she hated portaling. She landed right in front of Magnus' apartment in New York. She was excited to tell him all the good news. She came to Magnus often to talk, he was a good listener but she mostly came because he was her only friend now-a-days.
She knocked on the knocker on the front door and a few moments later the door opened, by itself. 'Oh, Magnus with his magic,' she thought. She walked in and found Magnus in his living room with somebody. Only once that somebody turned to face her did she see what he looked like. Ink black hair, deep blue eyes, striking features, incredibly handsome. She felt nauseous. 'Will', she thought. But no, it wasn't Will. His features were similar to those of Will's but he actually looked quite different than the man she once spent every day with.
"Ah, Tessa!" Exclaimed Magnus. He always was happy to see her.
"Hi, Magnus," she said with a smile. She must have been staring at the boy on the couch with Magnus because right then Magnus said, "Oh! You two haven't met yet! Alec, this is an old friend of mine, Tessa Gray-the shape-shifter," he said with a wink. "And Tessa, this is my boyfriend, Alec Lightwood." So that's who he was. And then it hit her, the boys last name, Lightwood. She must have said the familiar name out loud because Alec looked confused. "Oh, yes! Your old friends. Yes, this is in fact Gabriel Lightwood's great great great grandchild- or something like that," Magnus explained.
"So, that's how he looks so much like Will. Will's sister married Gabriel." Tessa said half to herself.
"Ah, Will. Yes," Magnus said while eyeing his boyfriend, "I now see the resemblance!"
Alec seemed a bit annoyed because he said, "Oh. Is this one of your old girlfriends, then, huh Magnus? Absolutely lovely to see you then, but I better get going. Jace needs me, something about engagement ring opinions, I don't know. Goodbye, Magnus."
