I should probably let you know..ive never done cross country let alone wrote about it but lets see how it goes.
Day 2.
4 riders already sent out it was Lily and Fearless's turn. In the start box they wait. A timer goes off and out they went. Galloping calmly. Fearless was built for speed. She and Lily didnt even need help with time or with junping. Lets hope this goes well. The first jump was straight forward. It had flowers on the side and was short considering the rest. Gliding over that on the team moved on. Still galloping on strong. Jumping the 2nd jump. Then the 3rs. Then the 4th. Still no faults and clearly good on time. 5th cleared. 6th cleared. Lily and Fearless sped up. Galloping like a race horse into the outdoor ride. Racing over the 7th jump. Then the 8th. Then the 9th. Then the 10th. Clearing all. Galloping back out. Lily smiling and determined to do great. Clearing the 11 th jump. 2 more to go. The water jump was next. In the water she went and over the jump. One more to go!! She gallopped faster and faster. As fast as secretariat may have run. Lifting in the air. And reaching back down. Clearing the last jump. Galloping on strong stronger then all the others. She reached the finish line. One hand in the air smiling bright. She collected Fearless and slow her down. Trotting out of the arear and towards the stables. Walking her near the road. Tom met her and smiled replying "Great Round. Just so you know. You beat the record. They loved you to first!"
Lily lit up in a smile. Tomorow would be jumping. After today she knew she could win!
Actually that was quite fun to write! Hope you enjoyed. One more chapter until this book is completed!!!!!
