Damon's Point if View
I looked at her as we drove off from my tree hut. She seems so quiet and like something was bothering her so much. What the hell was that phone call about?
"You okay?" I asked not bothering to look at her since she might thing I'm being nosy and that I actually care, but I do. Ahh I don't know.
She looked at me and gave me a sad smile "Yeah."
"You know if something's bothering you, you can tell me right?" I shrugged. We aren't even that close but I would still like to think that we might be.
"Since when did the player ever care?" She joked
I smiled, at least she's making jokes. I smirked "Who said I do?"
"I know you don't..." She said glancing straight ahead.
What the fuck?!! WHy do I always have to ruin things when they just started to go easy?! Shit ! What the fuck is wrong with me!?!!
"Well you are wrong." I said. I slowly looked at her and saw that she was starring at me shocked but quickly covered it with a poker face. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Nothing- its just that..." She sighed "I never thought a player like you could actually be nice..."
I laughed at her comment. She was right. Most guys like me would be fucktards to girls like her. Fuck we wouldn't even be caught talking to someone like her. It would ruin our reputation. Not that I actually care. Okay maybe I do, but somethings different with her.
"I'm right though aren't I?" She sadly smiled at me
"Not everyones the same Kat, you got to know that."
"But they are similar." She stated "Guy, guys like you don't care about girls like me. Most guys just care are taking away a girls virginity. Nothing else. I know not all guys are like that but most are. I know that some guys only act nice to get our v-cards. I know that guys like you would never be caught talking to girls like me. You would never be caught with a loser, nerd even a someone who works at a pizza place."
I waited patiently for her to continue. I was shocked with what she was saying. It was true. I know most of my guy friends were only nice to some girls to get their virginity. But there is something about the way she said that. Almost like- no... It's almost like it's all have happened to her.
"I's sad but that's just how popularity works." She looked out the window "That's how teenagers in our society work. They don't care about anything else but their reputation."
