Chapter 4
Waking up
Damon's POV
I was woken up by the loud sound of the front door slamming. What the fuck?! Who the fuck is awake at this time?! I looked beside me and found Kathryn sleeping softly her back away from me. Footsteps and loud crashes against the wall was what I could hear.
"What the fuck!" I whispered loudly. I got up slowly making sure not to wake Kathryn up and checked the clock. 4.39am. I opened Kathryn's door wider and looked down the staircase. Shadows.
I look further down and couldn't believe what I just saw. Kathryn's Mum was home! She was against the wall too busy putting her tongue inside a mans mouth.
"Eww. Old people don't know how its done anymore." I said
She quickly pushed the guy towards up where I was. Oh shit! I didn't know what to do so I quickly ran fast into Kathryn's room. One lesson I learnt today Old people aren't very good porn stars. Never would I ever want to watch that again!
"I'm guessing she's back huh?"
I jumped as I looked at the door frame leading to what looks like a bathroom and saw Kathryn leaning against the side of the door. I nodded. Guess this is a regular thing for Kathryn to notice huh? I don't know how she can live like this! Having her mother sleep with millions of guys for what?! For fucking sex just cause her husband left her?!! She should be taking care of her and Kathryn not pleasing men!
"Did she at least bring someone decent this time?" She asked starring at the ground "And not some fat cunt looking pig?"
I couldn't help but smile at her comment. She looked up at me and smile. "Nah I don't know. Didn't really see the guy and its not like I want to, you know."
Her smile soon faded as she looked back down to the ground. "I'm used to it. I know what your thinking. My own Mother is a dirty little mother fucking whore who does nothing but sleep with guys, right?" She turned off the bathroom light and closed the door.
She was absolutely right about what I was thinking about her Mum. I mean what else could I say? "I--"
"You can leave now." She said waking towards her bed "I know you want to anyway, after what you've seen I'll leave to if I were you."
"But what if I don't want to?" I asked shocked from what I said "I mean yeah your right about what I think about your mother." She looked down to her sheets "But that doesn't mean I'll go leave you since your mothers doing her little thing."
She looked up and looked at me for a while. I didn't know why she was starring at me for. Hell I don't even know if its her drunken self that's talking. She then smiled "Thanks."
"And plus would you really want to be alone while your mum's right next door to you having sex?" I pulled out my phone and checked the time. "Hey do you want to go out and go somewhere else than this place?"
"I'd like to but isn't it pretty late and cold outside?" She asked looking at the time.
I chuckled "You know I have a car right?"
She thought for a while, turned around and opened her closet taking a black hooded puffer jacket out and her white and brown coloured uggs boots. "Lets go then." She looked around looking for something I wasn't quiet sure what.
"Uhh?? Need something?"
"Yeah my glasses." She said facing me. That was then when I realised she wasn't wearing her glasses. I picked it up from where I last left it and gave it to her.
"Thanks." She put them on and it went back to the real her.
I was about to open her rooms door open when she took my hand and pulled me away. I looked at her and hand then to her. "Doll, I knew you like me and all but I don't think its the right time to do this. I mean we gotta take things slow first." I joked
"Uhh whatever, just don't go out that door." She whispered "Trust me you wouldn't like what you'll see there." Then we both heard her own mother moan loudly.
She looked away from my glance and let go of my hand. She walked toward her window and opened letting the cold breeze come in.
"Show us the way then hun,"
"Stop it with the names." She said smiling trying to hide that she was blushing.
"Sure thing babe," I winked
She looked at me the opened up the window screen more. She sat on the edge of her desk close to the window. She put one leg out first and then the other before going to the side of the roof top.
I followed whaat she did and closed the window behind me. She had a great view up here. I wouldn't even want to leave if she didn't want to. "Is this where you go when your mum and...." I couldn't find the words to say it.
"Yeah I spend most nights up here looking up at the sky." She was starring at the stars she had her chin on her knee. "I love it up here."
"Its somewhere you can get away huh?"
I laid down next to her and looked up at the sky. The moon was at its fullest and brightest.
"This is my favourite place to be. My little get away. I know it's probably not the best but who cares I mean its only me who knows and well now you." She said looking at me.
"Don't worry I'll keep your favourite place hidden from everybody else."
She came close to me and lay down next to me. I opened my arm to bring her head to my chest and I held her there.
"Thanks."
"For what?"
She lifted up her head to look at me and said "For tonight."
"No biggie hun, next time I'll show you my favourite place."
"I'd like that." She smiled and laid her head back down.
