Come Willingly

"Gods damn it!" Nico cursed. As his body fell sideways his hands slipped. In his left hand was the lead, and in the right was the mask. All good and set then, right? Wrong. The pressure plate had been set off, and now alarms were blaring in their ears. It would have been fine if Nico had figured out by tonight how to turn off the specialized security, but he had run out of time. Nico scrambled to keep his balance as Will struggled to keep him aloft.

"Stop moving around so much!" Will stressed. Nico just continued to wiggle around. Will heard a faint *plink* over the alarms and checked the time. "30 seconds!" He yelled. Not that it mattered.

Somehow, Nico managed to right himself. "UP! UP! UP!" He screeched. Will yanked on the wires, slowly but surely pulling his boyfriend up through the skylight and into his arms.

"Could you be any less demanding?" he requested.

"Not now Solace!" Nico pushed away from him and took off running, mask and all, pulling a slightly surprised looking Will behind him. The two of them hurdled the wall and took a running start from the top of the maintenance shaft. By the time they had almost reached the bottom of the 5 story building, the two bandits could hear police sirens wailing in the distance.

"Jump!" Nico cried. He then proceeded to launch himself towards the pavement. Will, however, did not find it so easy to eject oneself so readily into the abyss. He hesitated, cursing himself, then plummeted to the ground.

Nico was still running. He looked back once, to see that Will had made it down safe, but other than that it was just forwards. Let's be real, there's no other way to go when there's police on your tail. "Come on!" he shouted. His voice was starting to go hoarse. He began to hear William's scuffling footfall behind him, along with the sirens and screech of tires on the gravel that lay in the alleyway. The two of them had rounded the corner, and were making pretty good progress, when Will suddenly howled.

Nico's head instantly pivoted, and he stopped running. As he turned around, the first thing he noticed was Will, who was screaming his name, along with some jibberish that sounded like "run." He was on the ground with his hands behind his back, and he looked terrified. Well, the truth was he looked calculatingly calm, but Nico knew how to read him. Then he noticed the man on top of Will. He was big, and he was wearing a policeman's uniform. How on earth did he get those handcuffs on Will? Was the first thing through Nico's head. Sure, the guy looked tough, but Will was amazing at hand combat. The policeman put his hand behind his back, reaching for something. Please don't be a gun. The man pulled out a small radio and began speaking into it, eyes still focused on Will, who was struggling immensely. Nico didn't know why he was just staring. He started towards Will, who wasn't moving anymore. Now Nico was shouting Will's name. He broke into a sprint and was gaining speed when suddenly a cold hand gripped him from behind.

Nico's entire body froze. From behind him a quiet, yet powerful voice whispered, "I don't think so."
