"Wait, so - I just wrapped my head around God with a capital G, and now you're telling me I have to worry about the greek ones too?" said Dean, his voice fierce. Nico now sat at the conference table, handcuffs still on. Beside him, Solace wore a new pair as well. They clinked oddly as he drummed on his lap, his mind absent.
Nico's boredom was almost at a climax. Sam looked like he was about to say something, but Nico wanted to get this over with, and that meant shutting down some if the Winchester's questions.
"No shit Sherlock." he answered. Though Nico spoke, his gaze never left the wall. An irritated grunt sounded from the chair across him. Sam's chair, actually. Silence fell for a while, then Nico smiled as he felt Will's hands on his own. He quickly realized that it wasn't just a comforting gesture, but a message too. Nico didn't want to, but he looked up at Will, then at Dean. Will wanted him to be nice? Even looking interested seemed hard. Especially after getting thrown in the cellar downstairs.
Nico studied the brothers. Their emotions weren't hidden well. Dean looked as if he was expecting some sort of world ending monster to appear, and Sam looked like he was trying to dissect the two demigods. All this unsettled Nico, but he didn't let it show.
"We come from Camp Half-Blood," he said. "there we train to fight and kill monsters. My father -"
"Looks like we've got something in common. We've been doing that since before I can remember." said Dean.
With a great effort, Nico continued as if Dean hadn't even spoke. "Is Hades. He rules the underworld. Hell is part of the Fields of Punishment, which is part of the underworld."
"Essentially, Crowley isn't as big as he thought." This time it was Sam who interrupted. Nico breathed a sigh of relief. At least one of them seemed to be getting it.
"Yes." he said. Then Dean spoke.
"That will make one hell of a reaction tape." The smirk on his lips made Nico roll his eyes. Will saw, unfortunately, and took over.
"No, it won't. It's not a good idea to tell Crowley. By the sounds of it, he's pretty power oriented. It will be best to leave him oblivious. Or, in the very least, for as long as you can." Nobody moved or spoke. No one seemed to disagree with Will. Nico found himself smiling as he thought of how well Sunshine had shut the Winchesters up. Apparently, not for long.
"This camp... where is it?" said Dean. Nico thought the question was strange, but Will answered; 'Long Island' before he could make anything of it. Suddenly, Will stood. The Winchesters, who seemed to be expecting something (this time around) were up in seconds. Nico joined them, edging towards his boyfriend. Will looked taken aback.
"Woah!" he said, raising his hands as best he could, "I just wanted some tea." At this, Sam and Dean's eyebrows performed a circus routine. Will just grinned. "Force of habit?"
Sam exhaled irritably. "Dean?"
"Yeah?"
"Tea." Dean flared his nose slightly, then left the room.
"I'm gettin' me some pie" he sounded. Will shook his head, and smiled again at Sam. A twinge of jealousy struck Nico as Will sat down. Even though he knew Solace would never go for the thirty-some year old man, Nico couldn't help but wish all of Will's smiles were kept for him. Nico hesitated, but not for long. He sidled in front of Will, then promtly sat down. Will was his, thank you.
"Death boy?"
"Hm?"
"You're kind of squishing me." But Nico just cuddled closer, bringing his head to Will's chest. Will seemed as if he were about to push him off, but at that moment, he gave in. Will put his arm around Nico, and laughed, ever so softly. "I love you Death boy."
"I love you too Sunshine." They sat there for awhile, Sam awkwardly fidgeting across from them. Will ran his hand through Nico's hair, watching him warmly. After a short while Nico, who gets twitchy very quickly, began to summon shadows, weaving them into images. Will couldn't tear his eyes away as a tree took shape of a skull, and the skull took shape of a moon. Nico jumped slightly, then smiled as a bright yellow sun joined it. By the time Dean came back with tea, a whole sky was gleaming above the two. A perfect mix of shadow and light.
